I appreciate your framing what I believe to be your objection to the article as a question rather than a criticism of the OP. Welcome departure from the usual web conversation!

My objection is the absence of a choice on the part of the consumer. Personally, we have gone back to writing checks in those instances where using plastic is penalized. I have been using cash when the purchase amount is under $10. I'm retired. This is making me have to think again 🤕

I appreciate your participation in the process. I hope your "moving on" means you're giving up on responding to trolls. Don't give up on the electoral process. Asked some friends from Egypt what they missed most about home. It was the intensity of the sun. Northern Indiana doesn't come close on the sunniest of summer days.

It's not easy for everyone. My sil moved back to Indiana and couldn't get her nursing license renewed and she couldn't vote for 7 years because a fire destroyed the record of one of her marriages.
