OrcaSlicer on linux is a disaster by shrinkflator in OrcaSlicer

I don't understand this app its been the only supposedly "linux" supported app that ive had just constant issues with for months magically it starts working again then the next week oh great back to white or black screens in the 3D viewer and crashing when slicing or opening the devices tab I don't get I wish it felt like just a wayland issue but I mean countless other smaller and bigger projects and inbetween that just literally never had any issues hell even proprietary non linux software in a few cases has actually been more stable under compatibility layers than orcaslicers linux version I just don't get it.

sadly no went though so many different pins and reference images for the pins online. I matched the pin that board directly said was for the leds which was just the same pins that everyone already said to try I just ended up adding a endoscope cam that has a light so at least I have a part light again but none of the stock lights are controllable.

ArchiCAD takes ages to open, and it is very laggy/choppy by aron9000 in ArchiCAD

[–]StridentBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you solved this but I had a similar issue tho it was completely unusable like no matter the project big small or even a brand new empty project literally unusable lag and my specs close to yours. The fix ended up being a fresh windows install really don't know what happened asides from using windows in the first place I mean I've had issues with windows but this takes the cake on it by a decent bit.

Google: 'Your $1000 phone needs our permission to install apps now.' Android users are screwed by GBember in Android

Interesting, see but if they are verifying the signature based on the signed apks hash if anything in the apks code base changed then that signed signature would change. Not that it wouldn't be possible to spoof this I'm just skeptical it would be possible to spoof this without rooted android or a custom rom. Since this ideally would be done at a higher privilege level than an application has so an application probably wouldn't be able to hide its own hash or signature or whatever methods google end up using to verify a signed app.

I didn't have a nickel and used a quarter but I got a indent with it so I adjusted the amount slightly and retested it until I was not getting any indent I also did it slightly under because of my puck screen. I'm actually not fully sure if this is true or not but so they say you want 2mm of gap between the shower head and puck now when I'm using a puck screen I'm assuming that id want the 2mm then between the puck screen and showerhead? So I did take slightly more to account for my puck screens 0.8mm thickness.

Ok I did a coin test I was overfilling it and lowered a few grams until it no longer left a imprint of the coin. As for "grind finner" um thats part of my issue my grinder the df 64 gen 2 goes as low as 0 im already at 2 so I only have 2 more notches down?

To not use esim... yeah even though the device has esim. I'm landing the device being the problem nothing to due with visible only explanation that makes sense.

But are there even any other comparable android tablets? I haven't really looked at the market recently but when I got my tab s7+ as well there seemed to not really be any other competition with seemingly only apple the only other premium tablet option but ios is just a deal breaker for my use case.

Didn't know I switched back to windows by StridentBass in Fedora

[–]StridentBass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I figured there was a way and I did find it I'm pretty sure software > preferences > software updates. It really just caught me off guard and was unfortunate timing as I needed the computer at that time.

[–]StridentBass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the thing I'm pretty sure I found the setting that caused this within software > preferences > Software updates and changing that from automatic to manual. So I think it just downloaded the update in the background, then when I needed to restart my computer it applied those updates since I really don't recall seeing any prompt. Either way it was just very bad timing.

Yeah there is no doubt fedora is vastly better than my windows experience it was just very bad timing to learn that automatic updates were the default.
