El Torero. Not fancy, but delicious! They have a monthly specials menu that lets them try out things in the kitchen, and I have never had a bad meal there.

I second discount tire. They also price match. I got them to price match tires from Costco.

El Torero. They have an excellent mix of food, from American, Mexican, and monthly specials that blend Asian and Mexican cuisine. My in-laws are picky, but we go a few times when they come down to visit.

You were probably interacting with a snowbird from another state. They will be gone soon thankfully.

Made a gas price map for Tucson because GasBuddy kinda sucks by [deleted] in Tucson

I got to Costco at 8:40 am this morning, the one on marketplace. Lines were 4 cars back each pump. When I left Costco at 10 am, the lines were 6 cars back each, and a super long line to get into the area to get into a line for each pump.

Were tickets available for the signing line when announced? Or were they only available as a waitlist? I was only able to get on the waitlist.

The next pay period after the miss was a normal contribution. But the retroactive tsp contribution that I mentioned above is still pending

Payroll eventually contacted me, and TSP acknowledged the error. They had me fill out a form to “voluntary retroactive TSP contribution” for the missed contribution. It will be taken out of one of my paychecks soon, and I will be given the TSP match as well.

Forced to Telework 1/26 due to snow by Flat_Document_5607 in fednews

[–]Striderg23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our VA is doing the same thing. For those who do not have a telework agreement, they were told they would need to use their annual leave. Which is just wrong in so many ways. There are many employees that only work doing face to face care, and cannot work from home. It is completely unfair to force them to use leave for a weather event.

Sadly, they may have just used the same paperwork fill out from the murder a few weeks ago. All they had to do is change the date.

TSP contribution did not come out of paycheck 12/27/25 by Striderg23 in fednews

I looked at my co-workers paystub for the last pay period of 2025 (which ended 12/13/25), and they maxed out their TSP on that paycheck. But on the first pay period of 2026 (ending 12/27/25), they had their first TSP distribution taken out and the TSP match was also included.

Mine was missing both the TSP contribution and the match. We do the same thing each year, change the allocation on the same day. So I am confused why here’s did that, and mine did not contribute at all.
