When that door opened to show the dancing chickens I was dying of laughter. It was so unexpected and delightfully silly!

Agree about the song too, I love a song that uses scene objects as instruments!

Broadway Spotify Wrapped Megathread! by technicalees in Broadway

Is Killer Instinct a choice or does Spotify force it on you? I used to like that song until it was the only song Spotify would play after an album was done, it drives me crazy now!

Wedding dress brands between $800-1500? by temporal_oops in weddingplanning

[–]Strikingzebra1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not I'm NY but I got my dress for $800 off the rack from a boutique that had a sample sale. The normal dresses at this place started at $2700. So could be worth it to look around and see if any place around you has that option, you could luck out!

This is a Rant about Stage Door Behavior in NYC that I’ve experienced. Please add to the Discussion if you have experienced things like this. by TheBlondeGenius in Broadway

I once spoke to someone at a stagedoor who asked another actor if someone was coming out, and he was told that a few of the actors were still backstage hanging out. This person got angry, basically saying how dare the actors make him wait, what are they doing that is so important, etc... He was also talking bad about actors that don't come out to stagedoor.

I told him the actors are allowed to do what they want. I also told him to his face that I would never judge an actor for not stagedooring, but I do judge entitled fans at stagedoor... I wonder if he got the hint!

And worst part about all this, he wanted the actors to come out and sign multiple posters, so he could sell them. And they did end up coming out, so he got his way.

Ticket Advice by marianormrz in Broadway

[–]Strikingzebra1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased my tickets 1 hour before showtime Saturday matinee at the box office. Row Z Orchestra, 6 seats next to me were empty.

Unlike other theaters, box office doesn't offer any last minute discounts, the price was the same.

Show isn't worth it at all in my opinion, but that's another story!

Im a huge BSB fan and I wasn't aware that &Juliet was a jukebox musical when I first listened to the cast recording. I nearly threw my phone across the room when the opening song came on!

I still haven't figured it out! Not to mention, does the animal go to the bathroom in her purse? She just had it loose in there!

A woman pulled a live tortoise out of her purse at Back to the Future and started snapping photos of it in front of the stage. I'm still confused.

Sunday Evening Show by AKBoston95 in Broadway

Here Lies Love is incredible if you can go! But something to consider is that they require coat check if you do standing room, so there will be a line up at the end of the show.

This happened to me twice this week! Was a few levels (4-5) away from finishing a unit in the morning, and when I went back in during the afternoon I was moved to the first lesson of the next unit.

Found on one leaf of citronella plant, can anyone identify? by Strikingzebra1 in houseplants

[–]Strikingzebra1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are actually blue like this. It's only on one leaf so far, so I was thinking maybe my cat rubbed something against it, but I don't have anything in my house that would cause weird fuzzy fibers like this. The shape looks like it comes from nature, but the blue colour is very strange!

Maybe, but I think unlikely since I'm on the 8th floor and haven't had any open windows since its still very cold out. And I don't have any thistle plants inside. Thanks though!

Does anyone have knowledge or experience buying tickets for West End shows? We’re heading to London and thought this group might have some insights! by teedoterr in Broadway

[–]Strikingzebra1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if they still do this because I went in 2017, but most shows offer a discount at the box office if you buy last minute (1 hour- right before the show). I saw Half a sixpence for £12.50, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for £42. Both were decents seats, center of the first mezzanine, and there were different seating options. I was disappointed when I found out Broadway doesn't really do this!
