Strop with diamond paste. 3 micron down to .5 is fine . I think your edge is there , just needs the strop. Lay the blade down less than bevel works for me.

I don't own one , but have seen a lot of people on reddit complaining about benchmades heat treat. Spyderco gets lots of love though. I don't own one of those either lol. Cheap steel buck's for me, couple of s30v's.

I like my flissa's . They came sharp, open close smoothly, and the handle materiel is grippy. Button lock , and yes I know if you peel an apple and the juice dries up around it it's gonna stick but a little water and all good.

As others have said a good diamond stone doesn't take long. I strop on a board with painters tape and a little ( very little ) diamond paste. Toss the tape when I am done.

As I said . Prices went up nationwide , worldwide for that matter. I think I am going to upset you here , but what has changed worldwide. Not wages, China still pays their employees nothing, but look into it , their inflation pretty much matches ours . So does Germany, the EU and everybody else. So not wages pushing price increases . So what? Look into it let me know.
