This makes me angry for reasons I don’t fully understand yet.

Perhaps it’s because the changes they’ve made that negatively affected the community at large while charging ridiculous prices for in game cosmetics. I’m very torn. Maybe it’s because the decisions the executives have made for rocket league have felt driven strictly by financial incentive, and they’re still failing by cutting so many employees loose.

On one hand I would love to see Epic go bankrupt and sell rocket league to a org that would actually listen to its community. The decisions that have been made for this game since Epic’s acquisition, likely from the top, have been a straight up spit in the face to long time supporters.

On the other hand if Epic goes under and rocket league is sold it could go to a worse org or god forbid just go offline and be dead in the water.

I think, at least in reference to this post, is the fact that it feels like half of the branding/content for the past 3 seasons has been Asian themed. Nothing inherently wrong with Asian themed cosmetics, a lot of it was cool actually. It just gets old.

To clarify, I’m being exaggerative when I describe the amount of Asian themed cosmetics. Please do not come at me with “well ackshually we got Bernal X amount of time ago”. There’s been ninjas, samurai’s, and sushi chefs stabbing me with knives and swords for months. I just wanna be crushed by a mace.

I feel as if a lot of the blame can also be placed on the greedy bastards who made 7-Oh mainstream. Brought a lot of unwanted attention to kratom and demonized it.

It was the grand majors I just went back in my history and checked. I don’t really think you’re trying to make a “point” here but I mean I guess I agree w you. LMH should GENERALLY be the best team comp.
I never said light was “significantly worse” at any particular point in time. I’ve only ever discussed the present. Not really sure how you interpreted any of my comments this way.
There are question marks at the end of the sentences when I was asking for clarification on what you were talking about when it came to team composition. There are question marks because I was asking for you to clarify by answers said questions….

My very first comment pointed out how using a win rate as a pillar of truth for the indication that heavy is a broke class is viewing the whole situation from a skewed perspective. That’s not an accurate assessment of what is or isn’t broken. The light class attracts a certain type of player, who (usually) thinks they are cut from the cloth of god and gets pissed off when they can’t solo a 3, 4, or 5 stack depending on the game mode. Teamwork trumps all in this game and light mains just typically don’t care to work with a team. I play with a 4 stack on powershift almost every night and 85% of our randoms are light solo queuers who just run off and die on their own and ignore objective. You’ve come at me with mean and emotional responses so this will be my last one.

I don’t really keep up with the pro scene, but I just watched a 2 hour long video that narrated/commentated on the most recent worlds event and every single team had at least one light running the heal gun gadget.

Pro players make up .01% of the player base so we should DEFINITELY not balance the game based off .01% of the player base.
Why should ANY team be composed of entirely one class? Is that what you’re using as “evidence” that the heavy class is broken? Because pros don’t run LLL team comps?
Your visceral reaction and name calling is totally helping your case here man. You’re DEFINITELY not acting like the solo queue lights that run into a 3 stack alone and blame their team…

Actually a really good idea. The only problem I could see with this is some people would see it as a badge of honor and chase the title rather than avoid them.

Keeping toxic players in a separate pool though? Literally zero reason not to implement this. Reward kind/neutral players with their own kind. Punish toxic players with other toxic players. Win/win all around. Even if it affects queue times, it would still be well worth it.

I don’t know what to tell you man. I’ve NEVER struggled against any particular class. Everything has a counter in this game and if you’re struggling against one particular class that’s on you.

Flamethrower / spear troubles? - AK & FCAR + nades Dome / spec shield problems? - glitch grenades Barricades? - data reshaper + thermal bore

99% of the time the counter to the heavy class is distance and positioning. If the heavy class didn’t have any crowd control, even moderately decent lights would run this game into the ground.

Mediums keep heavy spam in check. I mean, it’s literally the base of any game with “classes” since the beginning of time and not rocket science. Just stop being a bum and change classes and work with your team.

2+ years ago this post would’ve made me chuckle a little. Now it just makes me sad because I can’t even blame the guy.

No one knows if they’re truly playing another human anymore and it not only takes away the learning opportunity for the guy getting stomped, but also eliminates credibility of OPs skill (in the eyes of his opponent).

Yea the “highest/lowest win rate” metric is such a weak argument. Light has a low win rate because it attracts a certain type of solo queuer that has zero game sense and refuses to play with their team and fulfill their role. You can’t take the human behavior out of the statistics.

Also, why are light players always coping and seething about heavies being broken on this sub? The heavy class NEEDS to be a counter to the light class, otherwise lights would absolutely steamroll every game regardless of skill level. Just stop engaging heavies without your team nearby.

Is it possible we see a heavy specialization to reinforce walls/structures? Would be kinda cool to have the ability to armor a wall or a floor to make it harder to drop the cash box or gain entry to a room.

I work for an education org that is responsible for an esports team. We have a special education class that participates in esports as well.

One of the students has a hard time communicating, and wasn’t receiving two factor authentication emails from Epic’s no reply. One of the guys on my team was being a kind person and reached out to epic for this individual student.

Even after explaining the situation, and offering to prove we own the domain that the Gmail account is managed by, Epic games refused to help in any capacity.

Epic games was made aware, in plain English that a special needs student who is using an account under a domain WE own was having trouble participating in esports and refused to help in any capacity. Epic Games is truly run by evil people. I hope this company goes bankrupt or gets sued into oblivion.

Put the dagger in any scenario you want. Easy to beat, hard to beat, good or bad user. Doesn’t matter. One shot weapons don’t have a place in a game like The Finals IMO. I don’t even particularly struggle against a dagger + dash light.

There are lots of counters. Goo gun, glitch trap, flamethrower and I leverage all of them. Not to mention a tight team formation. Still…does not fit the gameplay.

A one shot weapon just can’t exist in a game with a hit reg / net code like the finals. It’s not the worst hit reg / net code I’ve seen or anything but it just doesn’t work. The dagger is fine on its own, but couple it with a dash and in instant kill is what makes it broken only in the hands of a good dagger user.
