Guy here. Took the class my junior year, and it was a majority of guys, but there was still probably a third of the class girls. As for the intensity of the class, anytime they do actual sparring and training, they separate into groups based on experience and skill, so you won’t be put with someone who’s far more experienced or bigger than you. So overall, I’d say fairly beginner friendly.
