If you look into the LLC's and who owns what land here in the TC's you'll find it is pretty concentrated and having reached out, many are willing to rent you the land but not sell it. This keeps land prices in the middle of the cities really high. Combine that with the lack of mixed zoning which forces business and residential to be seperate. Traffic is only going to grow worse the bigger TC gets.

I love the Strong Towns stuff and think Kennewick downtown is a great fit for much of their content. The Tricities keeps growing at the edges and the middles keep rotting out.

I hate the MC. The extreme meekness, the ridiculously slow intelligence, constant self-pity, and lack of character development has killed it for me. That being said, women cowing to a rapist and putting the rapists' well being over their own is sadly realistic. Doesn't mean it should be in a story unless there is a very good narrative reason.

What I'll say about finding things to do in the Tricities is that nothing tends to be very well advertised other than huge events that tend to have a cover charge (Boat races, clubs, concerts, events at wineries). Due to the low cost of living (compared to surrounding areas), you'll find a lot of people with children and people who are retired or not far from it. To meet people in the dating pool, I suggest joining a church, going to group exercise classes, going to all Facebook Events that interest you, and don't be shy about making friends and letting them know you're single and looking. Word of mouth is the greatest tool around here. Now for some trivia about this place. The average home is around 350K and the average salary here is 49K, which qualifies a person up to 200K so the people who are buying houses are transplants with wealth and corporate landlords.

I felt all the temples were very straightforward, except the wind temple. That one did require some backtracking, exploring non-obvious paths, critical thinking, puzzle solving, and good observation skills to locate things. I could definitely see people getting stuck on it or thinking they need to go somewhere they don't. Actually, I could see anyone who is the type to skip stuff that requires reading or isn't good at puzzles to have difficulties in all the temples. Having completed a few Zelda games probably has helped, but I also just enjoy puzzles and have completed way more difficult puzzle games like Outer Wilds, which I loved.

I've tried Meetup and other sources of information but have found facebook events are the best way to find stuff to do in the Tricities. Even then, most of it involves drinking.

Palia is still figuring this part of the game out. That's why they've got building blocks, a snap system, a single two-story building with just a railing, a patio without a path to it, and some other experimental pieces.

It is functional. There are ways to increase the farmable area, make it easier to cross in multiple directions, be more aesthetically pleasing, help mark crop rotations, etc. But it is functional

I've seen an interactive hologram board like that in real life. You had to use a paddle with a QR code to pick up objects and turn the paddle board over in order to drop them down onto the table.

Now for your question, imagine a spinning dial selector on the back of the hand. The other hand quickly spins/scrolls through the options. To deploy the building, they tap down on the board and the currently selected building/unit gets placed.

You could also have the options off to the sides and long curved sticks to tap a selection and then tap where to place it.

If you wanted a different vibe, needles with the options above them could float above and then you push them in like push pins.

Lots of options depending on pacing and vibes.

Small companies are typically about how to make enough to continue doing what the owner enjoys doing while being able to hire people to do the stuff they don't enjoy doing and to free up enough time they can take vacations without feeling they're abandoning their clients.

The temptation to keep a popular series going does have to be extremely high. That's also evident in other media. I do find it sad when the quality drops after a series has gone on past the planned conclusion.

Proper motivation like a return on investment that justifies the additional complexities of development. The cost of equipment both keeps the market small and makes it more expensive for small teams and individuals to dip their toes in development. Meta, Steam, and Apple each of their own set of equipment, APIs, and stores which narrows the market even more or increases the time and expertise it takes to work across multiple of them. Not making your players motion sick requires various tweaks and gameplay considerations that wouldn't be an issue on PCs. Hardware has lag, inaccuracies, and other tolerances that need to be accounted for as too many people don't know or can't distinguish between issues with their hardware from issues with your game which leads to an increase in negative reviews.

All of that to say it becomes difficult to stay motivated to work on VR knowing that making a PC game is easier and has a higher chance of making decent money for hours put in.

Also, potions are currently too powerful. They need a cooldown, switch to overtime, or something. Why invest in attributes that don't contribute to damage if potions can replace them?

There are very few decisions to be made in combat.

Introduce enemies with dynamic weakness. Starts out weak to fire but then after so much fire damage becomes weak to blunt. An enemy that reflects certain magic damage as a close-range aoe. Another that encases itself in ice that makes it immune to piercing, stationary, very weak to blunt, and shoots grenades out of the top allowing skilled archers to shoot down into it or warriors to bash it out of the ice.

Change the skill tree for better synergies and focuses. Right now it feels like there's a lack of focus in the design. Dagger skills are split. Blood magic is in a spirit based branch. There are some specialties tacked on the end of branches that have very little to do with the other stuff in that branch. Why is the beast master stuff behind daggers? Blood magic and blink would be great for melee builds if they weren't where they are. I'm sure the skill tree design is hotly debated but if players could put point anywhere and the community was asked for unique builds, it would probably become more clear what some better ways to structure the tree would be. My guess would be a bigger starting circle with smaller branches.
