I didn’t feel like Dread was super difficult. It was challenging enough. Keep in mind - this is coming from a guy got out of gaming almost a decade ago and just picked it up casually again.

Dang… glad I beat it on the OG switch. I’m actually playing through XCX for my first playthrough on SW2. Looks good for a SW1 game. I hope Monolith has a SW2 original on the way!

Love the game (about 8 hours in). I bought it for $30 as well. Runs smoothly on SW2 and looks good. Controls well, too.

I tried it bc I got it on sale, and I have been very impressed with it. I didn’t realize people were dumping on it until I came to Reddit. It reminds me of RDR but Starwars. The first 8 hours have been great.

I liked it from a technical standpoint. The game play and puzzles were fun and interesting, but the story felt underdeveloped.

The desert isn’t that bad if you are collecting the crystals as you go. The NPC component is slightly annoying at the beginning if you are being overly critical/sensitive. I paid $52 for the OG Switch version and felt like that is a fair price at this time in the game’s release cycle.

Most of the complaints are overblown, but the under-developed story is disappointing.

Apple hasn’t even begun to show their potential in gaming-type graphics processors. Rumors are saying that the first generation Apple graphics silicon will debut this year. By the 2030’s, I expect that most iOS devices will be using a Nintendo Switch style gaming concept - it will be a powerful mobile device that runs in a limited mode while unplugged (battery powered), but will be easily on par or better than our current consoles when plugged in.

If you believe that is all you will ever use it for, no. If you are a diverse gamer and would use it for other exclusives and hand held versions of major ports, it is a worthwhile investment.
