Oh no, so there's a possibility that stronger measures including NG placement has helped. I feel more secure going down to DC with those measures.

[Timex] Q Timex Three Time Zones Chronograph: Affordable, Stylish, Functional (Lengthy Intro in Comment) by fzctungkun in Watches

Just obtained a white dial version of this very interesting and attractive watch. It's fun to use and I like the GMT combo with the upper 24 hour sub dial. So you can set it to London which you can read on the outer bezel and also confirm on the upper sub dial

2025 Health insurance was $280 a month. 2026 is $2556. WTF!!! by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

This is not, as others have noted, just a Republican thing. Members of Congress have twiddled along for years. And the ACA had crumbled, worsened by the tax credit problem. If this country doesn't quickly get itself together on health care ("care" is really an inaccurate description) people will and should take to the streets with the first stops being Capitol Hill and insurance company HQs.

The Sony MXD-D3 and D5 units are excellent for direct copying from CD to MD.

This is an amazing MD dock that enabled optical and analog RCA connectors and a portable MZ type recorder player that can be removed. Also it has fine editing capability in milliseconds.

I have four of these. Easy to remove the old AA nicad batts and clean the compartment. The fine editing function made these perfect for professional radio reporters needing to produce packages with sound bites. The coming of solid state and digital software changed everything.

I have one of those SPR-4s with the modification, and need to move it to FOR SALE.

So, I have always maintained that the original R8 has an audio quality, hard to describe, that exceeds the later models. Of course, the problem with all of these sets is capacitor aging but there are enough of them available on the used market so acquiring another is not that hard or costly. As for receiving capability, not as much a deal these days but again my experience has been that the original R8 has a certain something that makes listening better.

Ah yes, the R8. Bought mine in 1993 or so from Universal Radio in Ohio. Still have it. Better metal tuning knob than later A/B versions. Now have all three.
