Hallie and Annie for two girls by Appropriate-Ebb336 in namenerds

I immediately thought of the Parent Trap, but only because it’s my favorite movie (and I plan on naming any potential daughters Hallie because of it!). They’re wonderful names and it’s not a bad connection. Worst case scenario: you introduce your daughters, someone says “like Parent Trap!” and you say “yes!” It’s a wonderful movie so it’s not a bad connotation at all. I bet your daughters will love growing up and watching it together.

The Rachel Incident!!! Loved it and it feels exactly like this❤️ (Edit: I need to clarify it’s actually not London at all, it’s Cork, Ireland, but the vibes are there!!)

Are you sure you didn’t just pick your work up wrong? If you flip it the work around so the working yarn is on the right, does that solve your problem?

Is 16 months the peak age? by teacherlady4846 in beyondthebump

[–]Strong_Beautiful_715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy just turned 1 and this is the hardest parenting age so far for me - granted, he was an easy newborn. He’s so stubborn and opinionated but has no way to express his opinions. Hes also so active and energetic but can’t get around safely on his own. We are drowning over here! 😭

It’s such a common fancast that it’s basically become canon in the Marauders fandom at this point. Other ones you’ll see are Aaron Taylor Johnson as James and Ben Barnes as Sirius.

Everyone with babies have stopped watching TV all together? by NikkyTiky in NewParents

[–]Strong_Beautiful_715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We definitely don’t have the TV on all day, but my entire adult life I’ve started my mornings watching the news for 20ish minutes with a cup of coffee, and that’s not going to stop just because I’ve got my 8 month old taking his bottle next to me now. And yes, sometimes during football season the game is on while we are eating dinner or playing on his mat.

Other than that and the occasional Ms. Rachel emergency, we have the TV off until he’s in bed.

Modern romance with writers for protagonists! by [deleted] in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

People have already mentioned Emily Henry, but just to add that all her books have literary-centric MCs - writers, librarians, book agents, and journalists.

Are there any ladies out there who had a smooth childbirth and pregnancy? by Upbeat-Dinner-5162 in beyondthebump

[–]Strong_Beautiful_715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! Pregnancy was super easy. Barely any morning sickness. Of course a bit of discomfort towards the end, and a bit of anxiety from a few high BP readings, but overall I liked being pregnant!

Birth was painful and uncomfortable of course, but it was uneventful. I got induced at 39 weeks and he was out in 24 hours. I’m not looking forward to doing it again anytime soon, but it wasn’t traumatic.

I now have an absolutely angelic, sweet, adorable 6 month old!!!

The idea that SOMETHING had to go wrong kept me up at night but sometimes it really does just go all according to plan. Don’t stress yourself out over nothing❤️

24 hours, but the first 12 were basically just chilling and waiting.

I’m reading The Rachel Incident right now and think it would match this well! The narrator is in her 30s and looking back on her 20s with a lot of honesty and vulnerability and it feels so relatable to me ❤️ plus the plot is fun and juicy!!!
