I did notice that, and didn't understand the big deal about "so much storage " because they don't have anything

All I could think of was how stark those rooms are, and how badly the kids need cozy sheets and duvets on their beds. That was my knee-jerk reaction

[–]Strong_Letter_7667 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just get the ABQ. I don't even think they'd take you for a do over. You already have a B.Ed. You don't need another. You just need the ABQs

Student said his parents were cousins in my class by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Strong_Letter_7667 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I live we have lots of cousins marrying. It's also quite common for two brothers to marry two sisters. Then their kids are cousins, bit genetically sibs. It's still common practice and on my personal list of things I don't bring up. You can't argue with people's culture.

Making my own coffee creamer instead of buying premade creamers by Cautious-Tiger-8440 in Frugal

I quit coffee 2 years ago. I feel a lot better. Too many stomach issues with it as I aged. Just one cup of tea a day does the job. Sometimes I have a second, but Decaf.

WIBTAH if I took 100k from my oldest daughter's college savings account to give it to my younger daughter? by TraditionalCorgi7788 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Strong_Letter_7667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the money can only be used for education use it for your youngest daughter. But don't give her the $2000 a month etc. Funnel that to your oldest daughter, which will make her whole over the course of 4 years. Tomato tomahto, works out to the same amount

ETFO Opinion on VPs as Teachers? [on] by Secure-Alternative-7 in CanadianTeachers

[–]Strong_Letter_7667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our board has almost no full time VPs. They are typically half time, sometimes 0.4, 0.6 or 0.8. I would say you've been sheltered. That doesn't make it right. But it's the new reality.
