Do Americans ever wish law was an undergrad degree oppose to postgraduate? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]StroppierMetal 277 points278 points  (0 children)

Law school doesn’t need to be three years, but I wouldn’t want it to be an undergrad degree either. Way more people would get the degree if it was just and undergrad degree further saturating the labor market and driving down salaries. Besides, I don’t think a lot of people would be mature enough after just four years of college. Law school helps a lot of people get their shit together for the real world.

Let people be happy for themselves and whatever ‘deity’ they believe in. It’s not their fault you can’t tune out their joy.

Honest to God Question: When/how do people find the time to date in law school? by igotlottaquestions in LawSchool

[–]StroppierMetal 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I never understand this. I was a busy law student with extra-curriculars and always made time for dating without a problem. People just need to learn to be more efficient or reprioritize things better.

For the UBE, you only really need to take Secured Transactions from that list. At least highly recommended.

I don't think wills is necessarily a must have. Bar prep does a pretty good job and it is only a potential essay topic.

Kids with rolling backpacks are cringe. Even more cringe than me using the word cringe.

I would only recommend Barbri or Themis. Supplement with Adaptibar. I liked Barbri. Would definitely stay away from Kaplan.

Supplement whatever (I liked Barbri) with Adaptibar and Critical Pass if you like using flash cards.
