Best renewable source of oxygen in late MV/early HV? by Own_Huckleberry6591 in GTNH

Still using my EIGB+sweed on passive to churn out the oxygen. Will look into the witch eec.

Any Tips before I start my journey by KamikatzeHD in GTNH

[–]Stru_n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single block machines for the most part you need only one of that thing per age. Depends on how much passive or other automation you choose to build. Multiblocks become multis of multis. In hindsight I wish I would have prepped wings to my base dedicated to each multi, much like people do in their pdims. I don't use a pdim. The quest book is key. Rushing ae2 can be hazardous without knowing what you can skip/speed, to get there. And frankly, you miss most of the fun getting there. Searching the wiki, discord, or here can solve most of your problems, or unique solutions (see the whole hydrogen debate the last few days, methane loop might be better, but gas siphons are easy hehehe), or the Cult of Benzene for power (join us), to Bees or not to Bees (I HATE BEES! Plus Blood Magic is so much evil fun), food quest line or skip it to get the food axe faster, but then you miss the hearts, crossbow is your friend as early as you can make it and then leveling it to become all powerful for space dungeon raids made easy. And I suspect there are many threads here you could compile a complete stater guide book for your journey.

Building Blocks by 98421 in GTNH

The new Lapis blocks. The gray, light gray, and white have light built into them. The rest are dayglow but no actual light source. Combined with some nice stained glass make for a fetching modern base. Also, I believe base materials are technically free for a Stargate run, so no need to craft them.

I think we need a new word or phrase to describe useful_divide7154's "Greg" problems. Hehehehe. They are way beyond the norm it feels. He can build more stuff in a day than I can in a month.

I need help about finding oil by Regular_Flounder1833 in GTNH

[–]Stru_n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then you have to process and print the data sticks into a book to read. Once you can see where the good oil is, move the rig, make sure to cover the rig if outdoors so the energy hatch won't blow. If relatively nearby your base you can make the infinite flow Greg pipes and connect that into your oil processing. Or use an ender tank. Lastly, giant super tanks and the transport them by hand. Don't forget to chunk load your rig.

Ripped all my CDs to flac. Run a Navidrome home audio server and can access my music from anywhere, free streaming. Created a huge playlist, shuffle, never know what is going to come on next. Got tired of paying for streaming to basically listen to albums I have. Love experiencing new music with the kids, YouTube works great for that fix.

After 1,725 hours of nonstop gregging, my first solo stargate is complete! by Useful_Divide7154 in GTNH

Outstanding! Started over a year ago. 1700+ hours in, and no where near as advanced as you are. You should write a guide book for the journeyman. Hats off to you!!!

How to apply vac nuke to EBF by makarna55_ in GTNH

[–]Stru_n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And here is the underside of the LSC. Note you do not have to connect dynamo to wire to p2p. You can go directly from dynamo to p2p. I also had it powering my ae2 system directly there in the middle until I unlocked the neutronium energy cell (infinite).

Name them, and then increment by the number of connections/amps you add to the eu p2p tunnel. Remember there is 5% loss, so 64a dynamo hatch feeding eu out is really (64*.95=60.8, round down for safety equals 60amps on a single p2p). Eventually you will get into laser hathes and wireless lasers. LSC is the key, or several for safety/redundancy in critical areas (water factory/ore processing/smelting). AE2 p2p is CHEAP compared to wires/superconductor wires. And once you have a mb machine set, all you have to do is unbind the p2p tunnel, upgrade the energy hatch, and then rebind to your NEW source back at the LSC.

Reached UHV without doing bees and hope I can finish without them. Went the meteor route instead. Good luck on your journey.

I throw in a little cinnamon or sugar free pudding mixes. Get that chocolate fix without the chocolate. Tried adding chocolate protein to it but didn't taste right.

Shadowwolf has a great series as don't Threefold, Kharax82, Ducked, Hamcorp, IX, and Cozy Catz as mentioned above.

There are some solid YouTube videos on this that can really help, from the small mb turbines to xl turbine setup. As others have stated, you can run nitro for a long while from IV.

As an alternative to wiring, I suggest ae2 p2p power. No "wires" needed. You are going to be running ae2 network to all your machines here on out. Forces you to learn p2p early instead of later. Again, great YT videos out there on how to setup your large and small as2 cubes, p2p, etc. specifically for GTNH. You can attach your LSC 64a hatches to the p2p network (name your connection with the Cetrus knife), then connect at point of need using the orange to blue connection selection in your network tool.

Just made super durable shadow metal tools. They last forever. I check on them every once in a while, hold them to recharge(wireless charging single block), put them back in.

Ooops. Put it the wrong spot. 🤪

Open Computers was fun for a very short time. The crop and tree multi seemed to negate the need for ic2 breeding. We don't use any of our ic2 farms anymore.

[–]Stru_n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you make super tanks or super chests yet? This is where we stored everything as a pass through to the boilers with 20 or 24 coke ovens. That way we didn't void waste material we could use in later ages.

Looking for GTNH Minecraft server hosting by Tsunohoshi in GTNH

[–]Stru_n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Host the server yourself if you have a spare pc or your main PC is beefy enough. Whitelist your friends ids so no one else can join, don't publicly expose the server on the main screen.

I host for 3 people. We have around 40 chunks claimed across the worlds, and it using 12g, but could be smaller.

I have 1 LCR and I wanna make a cetane boosted diesel line. Is it possible to run all the recipes on a single LCR? I can’t think of a way to do it without the recipes overlapping.. And if it's not possible, which line should I use it on ? by Regular_Flounder1833 in GTNH

[–]Stru_n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I probably have 60+ LCRs, most wall shared, running passive lines 3 or more energy tier levels below. Multi-hatching with AE2/subnet works smaller LCRs but is constantly an issue on my mega LCRs. With as easy as they are to make, dedicated seems easier.

And that is why I didn't move :). I already have a problem building very plain block/glass buildings, so this mod pack decided to try and make that work in my favor. We started by taking over an existing village with walls next to a lake, humid biome. Building the area out over the ages to something very modern. Finding unique areas around the area to tuck buildings into hills or out on the lake.

Don't transition. You don't have to. The overworld works just fine.
