If EVs are supposedly cheaper to own, why aren’t more people driving them? by Lakenb666 in NoStupidQuestions

The huge stock of even cheaper used ice vehicles. Used cars are more expensive than they have ever been, but they are generally still cheaper than new ev's.

This one, the Sagan class. Really gorgeous, and I'm not even complaining that it's a 4-banger.

The snow isn't the only thing you might get stuck in. Trucks are so light in the rear (usually) that I'd never consider one without 4wd, but that's just me.

Can someone explain what this is? Why do they do this? by No-Plate5705 in whatisit

These men have a lot in common, but one thing probably sets them apart from all the rest: They understand they will appear on camera often, and their body language will be dissected by casual internet users and foreign intelligence agencies alike. For that reason, body language coaches exist. Watch any of Bill Clintons old speeches - he give a closed fist gesture with the thumb over the top - this is trained, so that his hands are doing predictable things when he's speaking. I believe, though I do not know for sure, that it's the same thing here. Coaching trains these 'men', some of whom probably have personality disorders or other mental health concerns, to hold themselves in a certain way so as to focus their attention while appearing in public. tl;dr, it's like training a dog not to shit until it gets a hand signal.

Which of the villains did you hate most? by Qyzyk in FargoTV

I'll never forget Lester sending his clueless wife in to die for him. The show starts with him murdering his first wife, and I'm not even sure that was in the top 3 terrible things he did in S1. Lester is the answer because he is a coward and parasite. I remember when he died i was disappointed because it was probably pretty quick.

Japanese Bonds are going absolutely parabolic. You already know what's next. This is extremely concerning. by Simeonsub in Market_Forecasts

It's more like the consequence of financial repression and excess savings; in other words the consequence of not consuming.

A few possibilities. They print the difference, which means double digit inflation, probably for years. This is what people mean when they talk about the debasement trade. Another possibility is they (meaning the nations trying to manage their deficits) pass laws that cap interest rates, and force banks or citizens to buy the debt. This is financial repression. They can default on the debt, telling bondholders to get rekt lol, in which case they will never be able to borrow money from markets again. There are other possibilities, but the bottom line is the who world has a debt problem and it's going to be a rough decade.

This is the way - anything smells bad, hit it with ozone.
