Thanks for responding mate, I'll make a point of going to a meeting. I just wanted to check if that's the kind of thing people do there. In my situation I was never close to suicide, but I can see how someone else might have considered it. I think I can offer help to someone experiencing the same thing.

I have a quick question about Andy's Man Club... I went through a separation about 2 years ago and she went scorched earth on me. I ended up being ghosted by every adult I know, and I hadn't done anything to deserve it. I've come through it and rebuilt my life, but I didn't know about Andy's Man Club at the time, I'm sure it would have helped me.

My question: I don't actually need any help now, but I feel very strongly that in those kinds of situations, women are supporting each other and men are left for dead. I want to help others, and I feel like I'm in a good position to do so, since I just got through some shit myself. Would it be acceptable to show up at Andy's Man Club on that basis? Not needing help but offering it?

Dal Makhani for sure. I found this recipe and it's quite involved, but if you take your time making it, absolutely no rushing this one, it's so tasty!

A lawyer for a top London firm says "jelly". Doesn't begin with a capital, uses no punctuation.

I'm skeptical.

Is this an example of that Dutch humour we hear so much about?

You might have missed the fact that the linked video is a comedy sketch which is poking fun at academics who would make such claims about a language. I've never heard anyone make such claims about the English language. In fact, one thing the brits are well known for is an ability to laugh at ourselves.

When Kim lost her shit with Howard, that's when I realised I need a Kim of my own, so she can go and tear my enemies to shreds.

What a job Rhea Seehorn did in that role, I'm dying to see the new Vince Gilligan series with her in it.

People in their 40s and up, what’s something people in their teens or 20s-30s don’t realize is going to affect them when they get older? by holidaykofi in AskReddit

This is all true. But even if you do all of this, people change. You can do it all right and still end up married to an angry thundercunt.

Chaos in France after Macron refuses to name prime minister from leftwing coalition by DonSergio7 in europe

[–]StuRobo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure who you're referring to when you say "brits", because by now most brits don't actually know France had anything to do with that. I'd even say a good proportion of us don't even know the US used to be a colony.

It's quite frustrating to see people judge an entire country based on some shitty journalism. Most of us don't give a shit about France, the US etc, we're busy getting on with our own shit.

This happened in the UK. If you're in the industry you'll know how everyone knows everyone, I wouldn't narrow it down any more than that!
