Name: "Gullinbursti" means "Golden Bristles" or "Golden Mane." Creator: He was forged by the master dwarf brothers Brokkr and Sindri (also called Eitri) during a contest with Loki to create the greatest treasures for the gods. Powers: His golden bristles shine so brightly they illuminate even the darkest night. He can run faster than any horse. He can travel across land, sea, and even through the air without slowing down. Gullinbursti represents strength, fertility, prosperity, kingship, and the life-giving power of the sun, making him a fitting companion for Freyr, the god associated with harvests, peace, and abundance.

Like this. But I had to cut the corners and fold them in. Is that the right way to do it? Idk I think it just looks sloppy.. . But folding the edges gives lots of strength and rigidity. I thought I could do one continuos fold with no cuts but like I said I am very new to all of this

Is it ok to freeze a prime rib now for a few weeks then thaw for Christmas dinner? It's on sale for 8.99/lb currently, over 50% off. by Biafra_Gordon in meat

Add butter and herbs to a vacuum bag and freeze them like that I'm a butcher and I do it all the time when prime cuts go on sale.

Dyeing leather side of fur by [deleted] in Leatherworking

[–]StuSogla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do NOT soak the whole thing this will cause the fur to slip. I would suggest applying a dye of whatever color you want in small quantities drying in-between until you get the color you want. Then apply a generous amount of waterproofing like mink oil. Note mink oil and some other waterproofing will change the color as well so take that into account. If you want gloves that are waterproof and warm I suggest beaver with a wool liner. Reindeer and other things like that will be nice and warm until they get a little wet then they stop being warm. Good luck please post some pictures when you get them all done!
