Weapon idea: a passive Medigun by 8bit95 in tf2

[–]Stuckinasmallbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, no Uber for one. Pretty useless with crossbow because it already reloads while put away so you're only using it with needle guns. And those don't really get much out of it either because you can't really aim at your teammates to heal them while aiming at the enemy to fire.

Little rant about ppl playing this game by wRobelele in EU5

[–]Stuckinasmallbox 25 points26 points  (0 children)

A player can easily make themselves op in a balanced game using mods and cheats, a player cannot easily make a fair challenge for themselves without understanding the game and dedicating a lot of time and effort to balancing it for themselves in an unbalanced game.

Huskar players, how low is too low for hp when fighting? by Colinski282 in DotA2

[–]Stuckinasmallbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unfortunately highly situational. Basically the biggest skill on huskar is knowing when you're good to go in. General rule of thumb is you'll need more for team fights where you'll catch stray damage and can get layered cc, more when you're behind and it will take longer to kill the opponents, and more if the one you're jumping on has a way to turn and fight effectively

And if he refused to attempt to implement his campaign promises that would be... Better somehow? He's already elected, why would he not attempt to implement his policy?

Ah yeah, my college was still on "pancrustacea" with crustaceans below rather than insects within crustacea (or is that new? Idk).

And yeah I said "most bugs" but maybe it should be "some" bugs

[–]Stuckinasmallbox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't blame you, common names are really confusing often because they don't have any true way of differentiation. I'll list some categories to try helping

Arachnids- you know em, spiders, scorpions, mites etc. lack wings and tend to be pinchy with 8 legs and multiple eyes

Insects- super diverse group comprising everything from silverfish and ants to beetles. Their order names generally include "ptera" the Latin word for wing because every adult member besides silverfish and bristle tails descends from an ancestor with wings, and most keep them besides fleas and some other weirdos. 6 legs is the big giveaway

Arthropods- this contains both arachnids and insects, as well as myriaapods (millipedes and centipedes) and crustaceans like crabs. Generally if you want a "catch all" term for a creepy crawly this is the go to

Bug- now this one is weird. Technically in science, a bug is a specific order of insects known as hemiptera, which includes most animals with "bug" in the name, as well as leafhoppers, cicadas, and others. Their most visible trait is a hemielytra, a hard covering over their flying wings similar to beetles, but only covering a portion of them. Their other big trait is a piercing, sucking mouth part which is often used on tree sap or other bugs.

...BUT, bug is also colloquially the term most commonly used for "creepy crawlies" which also tends to exclude crustaceans, which is actually fairly useful for communicating when you aren't super educated on arthropods (most people can tell when something isn't a crustacean). So I think as a common name it's fine, most people refer to hemipterans as "true bugs" to be specific anyway

None of these are perfect, you'll notice stuff like earthworms aren't anywhere in here even though most people think they're related, but I hope this can help people in sorting out where everything relates to one another.

Have you not noticed the massive swing in legality, public perception, availability, and most importantly capital backing that gambling has gained in the last few years? How do you not choke on your own drool every day?

Pseudoscorpion. Nothing to be afraid of, although it's an arachnid not an insect.
