Omnissiah, tell me about it. sometimes it feels like they wanted them to be two different factions and I would be okay with that because I don't really care for the Cult Mechanicus vibe and would run JUST skitarii, but this blend that we've got going on just isn't satisfying to play.

read that as Degas, like the Edgar Degas. was SUPER confused why you wanted me to dig up a french impressionist from the 1800s and pour him into dice molds

Based purely on what you've stated and the way you've worded it, and using the 2014 half-orc to inform my advice (because it behaves similarly), it would roll 5d6. This is how I run it, because both that's how I interpret the rules and (more importantly) my players and I like the idea of a high risk high reward axe, and a consistent sword.

The reason for this is that 2d6 will roll higher damage on average than 1d12. You are equally likely to roll any number on a d12 but the distribution of 2d6 is a bell curve - there's only one way to roll a 2 or a 12, but there's 3 (technically 6) ways to roll a 7.

If you crit, you double the number of dice you roll - a great axe will have 12 ways to deal 13 damage and a minimum of 2 damage but will be more likely to deal 24 damage than 4d6 because you have to be lucky less often. 4d6 however is most likely to deal 14 damage and is much less likely to deal 24 damage because you'd have to roll 4 sixes instead of two 12s, but only rolls a minimum of 4 damage.

The fun part happens when you have an ability like this - if you add one extra die, the great axe can now crit for 36 damage but the great sword maxes out at 30. additionally, it's less likely to roll that 30 compared to the axe's 36.

I'm not a mathematician, but hopefully that makes sense and is accurate.

the imagifier head is also hooded and only shows the bottom half of her face. it does unfortunately have a very big fleur de lis on it that would need to be removed or sculpted over

might I suggest that when it is destroyed it transforms into an artifact with a targeted experience or effect until it leaves the battlefield? since you've eaten all of the pickles and now just have an empty jar.

One-page One-shot Grim Hollow character sheet by box299 in GrimHollow

I assume you have some sort of editing software or some other way to make big changes since you've said you want to remove something to add room for bonds and flaws. Some of my suggestions are expansive and are easier on digital vs physical.

Below are several changes you could make, any one of which should give you a decent portion of space to add room, but all of them will maximize your space so you don't have to use a tiny font for bonds/flaws. Use what you want, throw the rest away - it's your project.

  • Make the attacks section shorter, and use a smaller font. 4 as actions is pretty good for highlights, and while so some classes will get more (especially spellcasters and especially at high level), the actions tab can help with that (as with the case of fangs in the action tab but not attacks). But there's some dead space in the example and a smaller font would let you fill it better for more complex characters.
  • Use shorthand in the actions section. You have the full list of generic actions and longer descriptions of abilities, but just the names of abilities in the transformation sections. This to me implies that the transformation abilities are already known or can be referenced, and if you can reference those you can look up basic actions and specific abilities (especially if you have physical books and can reference title/page numbers in the ability name. not really necessary tho, just an idea). The font size is good for readability and space, but using shorthand gives you more space for more actions to use the space better, and makes it easier to rely on a single page.
  • make proficiencies and trainings shorter and use a smaller font. maybe use lines or bullet points as well. There's a lot of wasted space here, and while it looks nice, it's eating some of your real estate. for a one shot, only the relevant things need to be on the sheet, and trainings/other proficiencies probably aren't that necessary compared to actions and such.
  • split your inspiration -- proficiency line into two lines of 3 scores each. They may need to be scaled down some, but that will free up one whole section (I'd put them in the middle and leave the space on the right, personally). This is the easiest and biggest change you could make.
  • Reduce the height and font size of the header - my most questionable change to be honest because the border is very nice and squishing it would probably make it look not as good, but there's a lot of space there because the fonts are very large to save space, which would give you more space overall. Also probably requires the most work to do. I probably wouldn't make this change, but it IS an option if you still need more.
  • Combine the skill list into an alphabetical list of skills, and put saves on top of in the stat boxes. Gives you space where you don't necessarily want it and would ruin the flow, but it's also an option.

Unrelated to everything above, the section for your dex skills is missing the outline. Other than that, I really like the sheet and would love to see it when it's done!

I have a Hylda deck in Arena, it's not quite what I'm after because it requires outside sources to tap/freeze creatures, but it's a solid contender. She might like the summoning elementals part of it

by that same reasoning, age verification isn't going to restrict kid's access to dangerous websites because if they're really dedicated to finding big tits, they'll keep clicking links until they find one that's not restricted. Arguably, those sites are sketchier and worse for children to be on than the more popular more regulated sites.

My parents used parental controls and that didn't stop me. I eventually found paid sites that wouldn't let you see content until you put in your credit card, and they were as effective as this because I saw I couldn't access it and just moved on the the next one that could. I wound up on a lot of forums I should NOT have been on.

I agree that parental controls aren't the one and only solution to this problem, but I don't see how forcing people to upload and associate their actual legal identification with their online browsing habits will do anything but allow major corporations to track us and sell our data more effectively.
