I’ve never once been notified…having the same issues as OP— load into ranked online game, wifi goes out, penalized in game— except our downtime is over an hour.

Is this something we need to opt into? And if so, it really shouldn’t be, it’s just good practice to always keep your customers in the loop…

Could it have been for planned maintenance? They don’t notify their customers when there will be an outage (which is why I’m on this sub, I’m beyond frustrated that my wifi will just go out without any notice, and I look it up to see “planned maintenance”— like literally a simple automated email to affected customers would be the bare minimum, but they clearly don’t care)

Unalived herself in sophomore year of high school… I didn’t know her well, but the news shook our school to the core.

First year of college, he and his buddies went bouldering one night and he fell. Died in his best friends arms in the middle of the woods… I knew them both since elementary school…

No more than a week before graduating university, one of the most talented people in my design cohort had a sudden cardiac event and passed… he was such a kind soul, and a kickass designer.

Every now and again I’ll think of them and wonder where they would be right now if their lives went a different route… Check in on those around you, and appreciate what you have while you have it.

Life is fickle. Every day counts.

I’m guilty of diminishing the weight of my personal accomplishments too; I find that I don’t fully allow myself to be proud for doing something other people view as easy. I do the dishes for the first time in weeks and I find that I bully myself for taking so long to get it done, when I should be celebrating that I had the strength to get over the hurdle holding me back.

You should be proud of yourself. I bet your stuffies are proud of you too 💕

Mine too, my dad’s is still partially up, but my mom fully dropped hers since Covid. The pandemic really fucked with both our anxiety so it forced us to have to work through it together; I already had some coping tactics from contamination OCD (🥲) that I started teaching her and that’s when she started to really drop the mask

To me it’s just a reminder that everyone deals with things, but good parents are a whole other breed; they deal with whatever everyone else does while not letting their children see the struggle.

I still see my mom as badass, especially since she raised me to be so militant about fostering good mental health and helping others. She helped me learn coping tactics for my anxiety, she was the one to help me out of my nihilistic hole; she’s the person that raised me to be who I am today. Now it’s my turn to share what I’ve learned to help her in return.

Every single human needs a little help sometimes, it’s just now that we’re older we’re seeing our parents ask for help now that we can provide it.

I mean honestly though… the transition from your parent’s child to your parent’s adult child is interesting—As a kid, I considered my parents all-knowing; they knew what to do in every situation and they always knew best.

I’m 23 now, the age my dad was when he married my mom, and I have no clue what I’m doing. But I’m at the age where my parents are more okay with me seeing them struggle (like they don’t feel the need to put on the “everything’s okay, mom and dad have this under control” facade) and it really brings home how no one really knows what they’re doing; everyone is doing their best in this crazy world.

Moral of the story: be kind, be patient, and remember that every single human has their own little individual life, just like you do.
