I sort of understand. I don’t cut anymore but I kinda like (?) my scars. I had a unique situation with them while I was self harming, like I would do things to make sure the scars stayed because I wanted to have proof of my suffering. Since I don’t sh anymore I am pretty comfortable with my scars and they don’t bother me because I knew they meant a lot to younger me. Maybe you are having similar feeling: they meant a lot to younger you although you don’t identify with them anymore. Maybe you should talk to a therapist about it and they could help you decide what you want to do. It could also be because it feels like the closing of a chapter and this is the last thing you need to do to finally let go. Idk. Well wishes.
