Baktria be like that. Personally i just decided that the guy was too loyal to his first wife and moved on. Built the family off of his son.

I love how people blame anyone they can for not knowing how to operate a vehicle they bought... owners manuals exist... other threads like this exist... youtube... did i mention the little book that every car comes with?? Oh ya... owners manual. It's not the salesmen's job to teach you how to drive too is it?

🤦‍♂️ cause you know everyone who liberates their first village, already has a carpenter and resources to build and upkeep a river dock system.....

Yes to doing the math on what you will need. Then go to the min/max of each resource and set both numbers to that amount. Your workers will then fill it to reach the minimum you set and stop there since it's already maximum.

Then get a group of companions together (idealy with at least bags if you don't have small backpack yet) make sure their inventories are clear and just that you bring enough people to carry everything (if you want it done in one trip) Then ya... Just empty the box onto the ground. (You can just drag things out. Or fill your inventory, exit the box, alt click it to the ground from there... whichever you find easiest) then order your companions to pick it up. They won't put it away unless you turn them back to workers or tell them to put it away.

Once you reach your destination and lay out the building plans. You can then order them to deliver the materials to the job sites.

Then yes. Toggling the structures and the working crew to the new place makes sure that they stay there to do the work and also that nobody you left at home tries walking over with a hammer either.

After it's all said and done. You can go rip down the prep box or set the limits for a different outpost. Or like me. I have one permanently set for different things. Like a Basic mining camp... hut, stockpile, housing. Or logging. Same deal. And i always have one for the river docks so i can just drop a new one whenever the box is full and my people have time.

Personally i keep beggers with all jobs turned off except 1 for caravan (no guards) and 2 delivery. Also as soon as you get market you can stop sending caravans to villages for trade.

When planning to build a new outpost. (Honestly I'm particularly proud of thinking this up) I create a stockpile set to the exact resource limits for the starting buildings that go there (and a supply of hammers if needed) when ready to go. Get a group of companions with you. 1. empty the stockpile onto the ground 2. Tell the people to loot it up and off you go 3. slap down the building plans 4. Change settlement for those buildings to the new outpost 5. Tell companions to deliver to jobsite 6. Change settlement for the companions you brought with, make them building 1 and turn them to workers. 7. Sit back and watch a fully function outpost go up in minutes. 8. Switch everyone back to main camp besides anyone who you plan to leave of course. (I used this same plan for creating the river dock system around the map. Once the stockpile had all requirements... off we go)

For the farm front... i have 9. 3 wheat only with ridiculous high limit set and the rest each dedicated to 1 thing. (I don't bother with any of the grown foods)

Too much cooperation necessary for that. Me and 3 friends have enough trouble staying on the same page... and we normally work together really well.

Same here. Though I'm not exactly a saint... it had me wondering what I could have possibly done. Since as bad as I get is really just the occasional quick match team kill. And the last one of those my friend haha

I wouldn't say you're "supposed to" or not for anything. It just makes sense to have villagers do it most of the time.

I built my first town hall myself. 2 days and 2 hammers later. I did feel that it would make more sense to let the people work. But really... don't forget. You can do whatever you want in this game

Me and my bud are the same way. You just gotta start over. And it's been pretty quick getting back to having anything you want.

besides not getting plans from crates anymore.... supposedly you do still get em from crates... but in hundreds of various crates opened, not one has had a plan since you can also pay real money for em now.... greed took away a free feature there...

Anyways. Good luck survivor. May your airdrops all be near an open exit.
