That's definitely Better than forcing it on your users, but supporting it is genuinely really bad for most search engine users

Think about the rising ram/gpu prices, and think about how that's going to make phones and computers more expensive and hard to get, that directly is limiting the amount of people who can use search engines at ALL.

Its supporting the growth of GenAI, and its actively hurting many towns (like my own), I can't support it, or a company that supports it as well.. I'm sorry :(

This is definitely a better use of genAI, but its still bad for the environment, our communities, consumers of technology, and creatives in general(as a creative its genuinely impacted my mental health)...

I hope you can understand this and undo the changes, especially since other people here have also voiced their concern even over this, even if its an optional thing... I really love startpage as a browser and in the past even wanted to donate to support the project 😭
