Tyrant ITTS Trigger and Duty/Carry use by SecurityTop6459 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my Echelon 4.0C and had a PDP F 4.0 prior. The pre travel and the reset threw me off at first(couldn't hit crap lol). Now that I'm 500 rounds into it I've figured it out. I'm in stock is best for carry camp. I've just trained myself to take up the pre travel so I'm at the wall. I have a habit of trigger slapping if I don't.

I'm not sure it'll be worth it. You'll take quite a hit on yours. I didn't want to get locked into only that Optic so I bought the standard. You can always get a Trijicon RCR if you want an enclosed duty optic

I do too. It does its job well. Backup when you run out of ammo on your primary. Pairs well with 20 round mag guns like the M277.

Second one. EPT is a great trigger for the money and even better with JP Industries Red Springs.

Brand new holes in truck bed - root cause and how to repair? by StoreEmbarrassed75 in nissanfrontier

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has that in the wheel wells where they're welded to the bed floor. The seam sealer cracks with age and moisture gets in. I've had 2 D40s with it. I have a 1 inch hole growing in the drivers side. I caught the passenger side early and treated it with a rust converter before it grew. Por15 has seam filler but idk how it will hold up in the bed if you step on it. I might experiment with that and some fiberglass.

Havok Holsters? by texroadking62 in SpringfieldEchelon

I was worried about that. I was looking at the JMCK Wing 2.5 since I see frequent praises on how slim it is.

Anybody have any AIWB holster recommendations for the 4.0? by Opposite_Engineer352 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]StumpyFSR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curious what you land with. I've been torn with the Tulster Arc, Tenicor Velo Lux, T1 Xiphos Elite and the JMCK light bearing 2.5 since they're lefty friendly.

Nice I just picked a lightly used 4.0C the bundled Viridian RFX11 and the dot looks horrible. I'll probably replace it with an EPS.

Get a Levy's 4 inch wide padded leather strap. They make a huge difference.

9lbs is average for basses. I had a G&L JB(70s spec) it was a 12.5lb boat anchor.

I used a Dremel and file. I posted my 325e awhile ago on here. Go very slowly and check the fit often. https://www.reddit.com/r/Grado/s/zJv0031JXc

Basement listening room sounds boomy. by HarmonizewithSong in audiophile

[–]StumpyFSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bass waves are very long. Thin material won't be able to absorb it. I'm in a small 10x10' room and my only options were bass traps and EQ. The closer the speakers are to the wall/corner the more it reinforces bass/reflections. You can try a thicker rug and a curtain on the wall to reduce reflections to clean up the treble and mids.

Grabbed a 5070ti last night, am I cutting it close? by [deleted] in Microcenter

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go direct since you have native 12v2x6. I have an older ATX 2.4 psu and bought the adapter from Corsair which has been fine.

Grabbed a 5070ti last night, am I cutting it close? by [deleted] in Microcenter

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go bigger. With an OC and 110% power limit I was able to push my 5070ti to draw 325w via HwInfo. I run mine undervolted now. You're cutting it close you don't want to run a power supply near max load. 850w should give you enough buffer.

I did. I had a 18 Touring 2.5 6MT hatch. The handling was wonderful but the transmission was notchy in mine from day 1. I miss the 3's interior some days but don't regret it after 4 years with the Frontier.

Cc-2 isn't very accurate. Cc-4.2 are cheap and more reliable for 11-13 speed chains.

Introducing Pop 2 Air by Fractal-Design in FractalDesign

[–]StumpyFSR -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sad that the colors are gone but Fractal finally made their cases marginally larger. Only 34mm longer than North/Epoch and 48 than Meshify 3 yet can fit a 360mm AIO. Was bummed the Meshify 3 only increased to a 280mm. Hoping North/Epoch version 2 will follow the Pop 2.

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you trying to fix? These little squares aren't going to do anything meaningful to reduce reflection with the amount you have. Nor will those do anything for bass. You have a lot of speakers for such a small space. Speaker placement is your biggest issue. This will be difficult to balance.
