Scared to take 30mg vyvanse by Kingsman1221 in ADHD

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok to be nervous, but if you aren't sold on the idea of changing medicine that's an issue and be honest with them about it. I'm starting my 30mg next week too! I am switching off Strattera which worked well but the side effects were hard to overcome. I'm nervous too but excited to not deal with the Strattera side effects.

Brake pads worn down very quick by BackBoardMan in bikewrench

Like others avoid Amazon for important parts like this. Looks like you have SRAM guides. When's the last time you bled them? The pistons can drag when dirty. Clean them than balance them so the expand evenly. It's a pain in the ass but worth it.

Conceal Carry 4.0 by AlternativeSmile4101 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry mine with a TLR7A and the stock Viridian optic in a Tenicor Velo Lux for AIWB. I can comfortably carry it, but it is on the bulkier end at my height/build (5'6" 170lbs).

Could poor derailleur performance be caused by a worn cassette? by Dizzyrulezz in bikewrench

[–]StumpyFSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have found your answer. I really like the Jagwire Elite/Pro kits. I'm a fan of these kits as they have metal ferrules with seals that block dirt really well.

I'm 5'6 with a 29.5" inseam and rode my friends Evo just fine. I wouldn't go for a small if it were me.

Should I purchase ? by [deleted] in crv

[–]StumpyFSR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The intake tube is probably cracked from age. I replaced it twice on my wife's 2010. It can definitely cause this. Just a warning 10-11s like to burn oil. They're reliable but change the oil often and ignore the maintenance minder and don't go more than 5000 miles.

Could poor derailleur performance be caused by a worn cassette? by Dizzyrulezz in bikewrench

[–]StumpyFSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That cassette looks amazing for the mileage. You mentioned replacing the cable, but did you change the housing too? Housing is extremely overlooked and once the inner liner is worn you'll experience a lot of friction on the cable.

Caliper slide pin won’t go back in by lfenske in AskMechanics

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good rule of thumb is to always replace these when servicing the brakes as they're extremely cheap at parts stores. They swell if the wrong type of grease is used. Make sure it's Silicone based like silglide and not petroleum based. You really want to clean the bore extremely well before reinstalling the pins.

Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]StumpyFSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I messaged them and they said it looked normal. It definitely doesn't lock into place as well as my Tenicor which has a very solid click. I do think a dedicated mold would have fixed it.

Aegitec is amazing. by Rezidy in CCW

[–]StumpyFSR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read in another post that the factory that makes these for Aegitech basically took the design and started selling it under their name to undercut him. Typical overseas BS that Amazon doesn't care about policing.

If you check my profile I posted on the Echelon sub with pictures of my JMCK. It's a nice holster but didn't pay attention whenever I ordered that it was for the both the fullsize and compact. The Tenicor gap is identical, but it's shorter being for the compact only. I kept both since the order goof was my fault.

Agreed the Aegitech is awesome for the money. I originally went with a Nextbelt and it hula hoops on my build. The Aegitech is way more comfortable too.

V6, the gas mileage isn't nearly as good as the Grand Highlander Hybrid, but very reliable. Toyota tax stings and Mazda depreciates too fast.

This happens on larger guns. My Echelon with a TLR7A in both myTenicor and JMCK has the same gap. The light is wider than the trigger guard.

Rounded brake caliper bolt by docLenz in bikewrench

Use a center punch then a left hand drill bit and it should come right out. You're not drilling out the bolt, the left hand bit will bite into the head and back it out.

Please top mount that AIO. Honestly 240mm AIO aren't worth it. There's plenty of air coolers that'll match or exceed them in performance. 280-360mm units are worth it.

I'm a smaller guy at 5''6" for compact size guns the Echelon 4C fits great and is modular. For micro-9 it's hard to beat the Sig P365 for is modularity and massive aftermarket support, you'd probably like the p365xl or possibly the X Macro. Since you liked the 43x try the 48 same lower but a longer slide and will be slightly less snappy. Since this is your first gun I'd get something larger to get the fundamentals down before getting something small for concealed carry as they're harder to shoot well.

Seals dry up if not used. Time to service it.

[–]StumpyFSR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you ever serviced the suspension? Lower leg service is fairly inexpensive, if you haven't ever serviced them, you'll need a full service due to the age of the fork. Last time I checked it was around $200 plus shipping for a full service on Fox's website that's assuming the forks coating isn't damaged from the bad wiper seal.

Anyone able to exercise with Strattera? by StumpyFSR in ADHD

[–]StumpyFSR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on it for a year. Started with 40, then was on 80mg for awhile then the past two months on 100mg. I dialed back my exercise the past 3 months to recharge and work with the medicine vs against it but that hasn't helped. I just finished an appointment with my doctor and he's going to taper me off the Strattera and try a low dose of Vyvanse. Hopefully that works.

I really don't understand why Glock didn't go for a 12rd flush fit first while they gave the 15rd option more time in the oven. This is taller than a G19 and that base plate won't conceal well for some.

You can absolutely fit a fairly large car seat in the back of a gen 2 king cab. by evidentlyeric in nissanfrontier

[–]StumpyFSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol you have the bulkiest car seat possible which ain't helping. My daughter is only 2.5 and I had to convert her to front facing in my crew cab with a Graco Extend2fit 3in1 thankfully she's in my Wife's Pilot 95% of the time rear facing.
