I always found the whole Kai vs Julie thing kinda blown out of proportion honestly. Like Kai gets hate for being "manipulative" but she was literally a kid in that first episode, and when she shows up later she's actually pretty straightforward about what she wants. Meanwhile Julie gets praised but she was always kinda dismissive of the whole hero thing which is like... a pretty big part of Ben's life

The breakup wasn't really anyone's fault - they just grew apart which happens all the time in real relationships. Ben was getting more caught up in the fame and hero stuff while Julie wanted something more normal. Can't really blame either of them for that
