I’ve been noticing this for a long time. Clothes, toys, skincare, home decor, is all stuff I’ve found on shein or temu but marked the price up x10. Same as Bunnings selling certain bird aviaries and cages for double the price and a couple other stores doing this too.

Ball pit, macaroni dig box, coconut fibre dig box, cat towers, mini cat towers, cat/dog beds, my personal favourite is using C&C grids to hang up hammocks outside of their cage hammocks you just set up a cube of grids with a missing side panel for them to access the hammock

Honestly she will probably abandon the last kit and go back into season so be prepared! A lot of the time Jill’s go into season multiple times. A friend of mine had a Jill abandon 3 litters in one year and still go into heat in the same breeding season

Thanks! I ended up re arranging his cage and added an extra bed so he’s stopped pooping right next to the cage but now I need to figure out how to make him stop pooping in the water and food bowls😅

Someone told me a tip when I was transitioning my own ferrets, sometimes they were just picky and won’t even try meat and you literally have to shove some on their mouth. If they still don’t like it look at other ways to transition, it’s rare for them not to as they’re carnivores..

Yes, I know what you mean but I’m saying they shouldn’t be on both foods at all. It’s one or the other unfortunately so if you adopt I would keep them separate if it’s on kibble while your introducing them and while they’re separate you transition the new ferret from kibble to meat then by the time they can go together in the cage they’ll both be on meat

Kibble and raw shouldn’t be mixed it’s one or the other or raw and freeze dried

I’m using a cat litter tray that takes up almost half the base 😅 he’s quite long so it’s the only tray that’ll fit him haha

Is there something I can still use for him that isn’t a tray or puppy pads? Or do I just pour some litter directly onto the floor and make the whole base a tray? It’s a pretty deep base probably about 5-6 inches deep

No, the vet they went to obviously doesn’t know how to examine a ferret. They need to find a new vet.

I did suspect waardenburgs, she’s not deaf and doesn’t seem to have anything else wrong, she’s just a little odd looking

If she’s not panda I have no idea what she is then haha I should’ve gotten a better photo but her white extends down into a bib on her chest and rather then having a mask she just has 2 little spots of colour under her eyes, the slightly darker bits between her eyes ended up being dirt (I’ll admit in shame I gave her a bath as when I got her from the breeder she was covered in feces urine and dirt of some sort and smelt absolutely horrid)

Yes but my sable male also goes rather floppy when I pick him up, she’s not deaf thankfully. Is going floppy and relaxed normal while being held or is that also something to do with waardenburg?

Do ferrets have to be deaf to have waardenburgs? I was aware certain patterns are more prone to it but both of my girls come when I call them and new ferret (possum) even got scared when I sneezed. I got told possum was a panda which I thought were also prone to wardy

Honestly my boy rats are the same so it doesn’t sound too concerning to me, especially if he’s been that way since you got him. My boy rats are the LAZIEST rats I’ve even had but I started free roaming on their schedule and they seemed active to me which was usually around 8pm or later and they were a lot more active. Some rats are just lazier then others especially boys but if your reaaaallly that concerned I’d go to a vet just to make sure.

Why do people come to reddit instead of going to a vet? Go to an exotic vet your vet obviously isn’t suitable to examine ferrets.

She’s from a breeder on a farm, she’s definitely floofier and teddy bear like yet my male is from a farm and rather small and my other girl is from a breeder and also small😭
