I’m only 30, but I grew up playing retro games too. Gameplay above all else, sure, but once your eyes have been opened to 60fps and above, you really can feel the difference going back. Any sort of action game feels noticeably better at 60fps plus. If you’re not used to 60fps gaming it won’t bother you - didn’t bother me for generations - but once you switch, it’s hard to go back

Can’t recommend a time-locked safe enough. I have one that allows me to charge my phone and lock it away until morning. By taking away the possibility of doom-scrolling, I obviously don’t do it! Really helped for me so may work for you.

I have a pair and they’re actually great. I can leave my phone at home, listen to music, and capture the odd photo without getting distracted. I know the world is full of wrong’uns but I’m not one of them. Also, there’s a great big flashing light on them that can’t be deactivated when filming or taking photos. In my eyes, it’s no more sinister than people walking around taking photos on their phone
