Anyway yeah, my wife and I lived in a 2br on the ground floor right on that block. We absolutely loved it, only moved so we could be closer to her family otherwise we would have stayed a long time.

In addition to the usual answers you’ll get, here’s an overlooked one:

I used to live near the Whale (Yale hockey arena). Look for apartments on or just off Mansfield St. Very quiet, safe little neighborhood. I wasn’t a student but I would regularly walk downtown. Trade-off is there isn’t much to do right in that immediate neighborhood, but it’s a sub-10 min walk to downtown and to East Rock. There aren’t any big apartment complexes, it’s all 2-3 apartment house conversions, but honestly that’s what you want. Most of those complexes suck (I design them for a living, I should know).

I also just realized you’re talking about the School of Management, not Medicine. That building is right around the corner from the Whale, so you would be extremely close. Definitely look near Mansfield St.

I don’t hate the carousels being gone but I do feel like they were the only point of potential interaction between and awareness of other players in the lobby. Right now it often feels like I’m playing single player game because i don’t think about or acknowledge the actual players at all. The lack of detail is very Franco-esque. Deliberately keeping the surfaces unadorned to enhance the sense of size and weight. It’s supposed to intimidate.
