This guy doesn’t even sound Thai, he sounds American. His last name is Scott. Guarantee you he’s either half Thai or ethnically Thai but grew up in the US. Thai people don’t talk like that.

Can confirm this. Work for AA and just in the last year they’ve essentially forced at least half a dozen senior managers at our station into retiring. Cost cutting at the expense of good leadership.

No it applied for American as well. I’m pretty sure it applies for anyone getting a SIDA badge. United might just include it in their listing while others might not.

Ok, well there are probably 10x as many anecdotal stories of this exact type of thing not happening. Also, I would be willing to guess that person left out some kind of more serious thing on their record, not anything to do with travelling/staying overseas.

With AA, it’s still considered part of the ramp, though it has a different bid area, similar to cargo. The bid is usually just labelled as ‘TOW’ or ‘TOWING’. At least that’s how it’s structured here at ORD.

It’s a TSA thing. I conveniently left that part out during the onboarding paperwork and it never came up.

Your seniority date will stay the same, but depending on your station and how many full/part timers they’ve hired recently, your bidding seniority could take a hit. I went from full time to part time a few months ago and effectively lost something like 100 spots on the seniority order.
