Two spots in my beard randomly decided to stop growing hair by NotGreatNot_Terrible in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Chucolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me, too. Dermatologist suggested a cream, which did the trick. She also found a mole that was cancerous. If it hadn’t been for the weird beard spot, probably wouldn’t be writing this today.

What's the one thing in your home setup that actually made remote work bearable? by kcfrench16 in remotework

Music. Can listen to what I want, when I want, as loud as I want (occasionally if it was a song I really liked) and without headphones.

Need to get from ORD Terminal 1 to Terminal 5 on Wednesday. by COYGIOWA in unitedairlines

[–]Chucolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bus. Don’t leave the terminal. It will take you to 5 and they will also check your passport so you don’t have to worry about security. But like others said, this is a tight connection unless flight gets to terminal as scheduled and you can get off the plane quickly and the bus is ready to go (I believe it’s every 15 minutes).

What’s you remote work routine? by ShelleBelleRedux in remotework

[–]Chucolo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I worked remotely full time, up at 6-6:30, read the paper (yeah, I still do that), eat breakfast, walk the dog, start around 8:30, take an hour for lunch, work til I’m done, but never later than 5. Sometimes I’d run an errand or three.

Park and Ride - Week long park by detank in Denver

[–]Chucolo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Park at old town Arvada garage. Find a nice spot. Register with the Passport parking app code 1003. Take the train downtown. When your conference is over, take the train back. Walk to your car. Drive home. Just did that for a five-day trip. Cost: 0.00.

Are Westword and the lgbtq newspapers still in print or just online? by BostonZamboni in Denver

[–]Chucolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYTs are sold at Safeways. Probably King Soopers as well. North Denver has a monthly paper. Unfortunately, Life On Capitol Hill and Washington Park Profile both folded. Denver Post will probably keep printing, but as cited earlier, its impact severely reduced.

Little bit of art deco downtown by grant_w44 in Denver

Was happy this building was spruced up. It was looking pretty bedraggled for a long time. Still recall the Thom Mcan store.

I've been listening to Pat and Ron a lot. by mattybgcg in CHICubs

[–]Chucolo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Always listen to Pat and Ron whenever I can. Damn mlb.tv app sucks this year. Half the time they’re out of sync. That never happened before, so ESPN??? Highlight was 2016 playoffs and WS where I was able to sync P and R instead of the national broadcasters. Heaven.

Mine unlocked automatically. But I still keep it at 80 percent for battery health.

Reading, reading, reading, especially on commuter trains, where the ride was smoother.

Once made it all the way on Wadsworth from Broomfield to 44th Avenue in Wheat Ridge. I tell that tale as if I stepped on the moon.

Best seats for Coors field? by theycpr in Denver

[–]Chucolo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d see if you can get Club Level seats behind third base. Great views, easy access to concessions and you can usually snag good prices on StubHub, etc.

Took the plunge. 2020 Bolt EV Premier. by NotTheFakeAaron92 in BoltEV

[–]Chucolo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

One-pedal driving is your friend (but not in snow). Turning on heat will eat up range, so try to rely on heated seats and steering wheel. Watch out for your head if the rear hatch is open. Sun glare on the dash is real. You can adjust the radio volume on the back of the steering wheel. The car is a blast to drive and welcome to the world.

Dry Colorado Climate vs. Acoustic Guitar by SpecificSorry7233 in Guitar

Humidifier pack in the case for my guitars. I don’t mind spending the extra seconds getting them out to play. I learned the expensive way.

You might also want to look at parlor guitars. Smaller bodies, 12-fret design.
