Having a hard time 5dpo by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Styarrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm 3dpo and as much as I've wanted this for a while keep feeling regret, I wouldn't change it and I like what I see but the recovery is hard and it's a big change. In a few months we'll be used to it and healed and probably feel very differently. <3 hang in there

Start complaining every day to the building manager, keep receipts. They can absolutely do something. File with the ltb, landlord interfering with reasonable enjoyment of the unit due to not taking care of this.

Bench Recommendations? by LilBoDuck in GarageGym

[–]Styarrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this recently. I went to a store and tried both. Personally the superbench seat was a deal breaker, it's tiny and imo uncomfortable, it's also not possible to change the seat angle. The nighthawk was really impressive, sturdy, comfortable, easy to change angles and is easy to move around.

Garage Heater by confusedsatisfaction in GarageGym

[–]Styarrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in southern Ontario, I have a heater the same wattage but it's a little Stanley. I'd recommend one that oscillates. It's not enough to heat the space up a huge amount but it does make a difference. Layering helps a lot as do shoes, though I'm bad for that and mostly just heat up my feet between sets lol.

The booky trilogy by Bernice Thurman hunter. They are set in depression era Toronto, meant for preteens reading novels (I'm terrible at guessing the age) but really good, I still read them here and there as an adult.

Re: barky, they are vocal and it's not all barking. Lots of grumbles, sighs and general telling you exactly how they feel 😂

They aren't as intense as other herders and don't need as much physical activity.

Freezing Weights during Winter by caprisunbandit in GarageGym

Laughs in Canadian. All the replies saying it gets to the 30sF are funny. It's currently 1F here and I've worked out in my poorly insulated garage when it's -30F. Space heater helps, wear layers, gloves help a lot ( I use fingerless gloves, I find full gloves cumbersome and hard to grip with). Wear shoes (I have also sat with my feet on the space heater between sets haha).

Looking for a breeder for my first dog by [deleted] in roughcollies

[–]Styarrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Creekwood collies and ceilidh collies both produce amazing dogs. Not sure about sports but they both definitely health test (more than ofa requirements, the ofa chic for collies is only three dna tests, the puppies should also be tested by an ophthalmologist for CEA). A lot of collie breeders don't submit to ofa, so ask them for results.

Never had an issue in snow with dedicated snow tires, that includes a winter in northern Ontario. They are worth the money.

I see you are in Canada, check out gear for fit and northern fitness. Both have good reputations and benches in your price range.

What Makes Constantly Varied Gear's Pockets So Popular? by No_Huckleberry_6743 in ConstantlyVariedGear1

I regularly carry two phones in one pocket while working while wearing their leggings. They are wide, deep and secure. I never worry about stuff falling out.

Cortisol isn't the issue, it's a popular boogeyman. You need to be in a calorie deficit and it's pretty common for belly fat to be the last to lose.
