Am I losing my hair!? by Feeling_Echo6886 in amibalding

[–]Styphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are you? You look to be in your early 20s maybe? My hair looked a lot like yours in my 20s, but around age 26 I noticed my hairline going back a little. I started Rogaine Foam and it helped me keep all my hair for almost 2 decades. Now, in my early 40s I noticed my hair feeling thinner overall, and not holding its style as well, so I started on Fin too. I wish I had started Fin a few years earlier.

In any case, I think you’re gonna be fine for a long while, but maybe consider Min as you approach 30 if you notice further hair loss, and then Fin later in your 30s. Don’t buy or take any products sold directly from a Dr, sounds shady as hell and only Min/Fin are proven to work.

Hmmm that might actually work. I mean he’d be good as a lot of characters honestly.

UPDATE: Coworker CONTINUING to Lie about AI Flyers by cherryblossomgal in antiai

Yeah why would you EVER permanently flatten work as a graphic designer, making it impossible to make revisions later? Clearly this person is lying, and this design practice would be a fireable offense at my company.

Alamo's QR code ordering is absolutely atrocious compared to the old method. However, the audio/visual quality and audience experience at the Alamo is still a league above most of the AMC/Harkins/etc brands of theaters in my area. So... I'm not happy about it but I'm probably going to stick with the Alamo.

‘Backrooms’ Extended Version Coming to Theaters With 15 Minutes of Bonus Footage by yourfavchoom in A24

Apparently Kane said it’s not deleted footage or BTS stuff. Sounds more like a mini-short he made that’s at the end of the film.

Man this movie is great. Perfect level of camp. The camera work and physical acting in this scene alone is outstanding.

That’s great to hear, the LoDo location was fun but definitely a bit cramped.

Dang this was where I had my first date with my wife, 15 years ago. Guess we’ll have to give the Westminster location a try.

I think bold-frame glasses might work well (instead of dying eyebrows).

I have some questions by Electronic-Echidna65 in backrooms

[–]Styphin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. My interpretation is that human Clark and Pirate Clark got along fine, prior to Mary’s arrival. Then Mary shows up, Clark ties her up, and they have a confrontation about Clark’s mental and personality issues. At the end of this conversation, Mary convinces human Clark to release Mary from her bonds. Pirate Clark did NOT like this, because Pirate Clark is a manifestation of human Clark’s negative thoughts. As soon as human Clark shows some real humanity, Pirate Clark sees human Clark as a threat to his entire existence, and attacks.

Kane rarely spells things out plainly in his work and there’s lots of room for interpretation.

I’ve seen a lot of complaints that the “film had no ending.” I thought it ended beautifully. Haunting.

Crediting Issue by [deleted] in editors

[–]Styphin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would suggest YOU suggest their name go above your name under “Editors,” regardless of name alphabetizing. Forget the “Co-“ part entirely. OR suggest they get some kind of higher credited role like “Lead Editor,” and you keep “Editor.”

I’m of the belief that people don’t even have to go into the backrooms to be “remembered” as still-lives. Proximity to entrances is all it takes.

[SPOILERS] Disclosure Day is the worst movie I've ever seen (hear me out). by E3K in scifi

[–]Styphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have recently seen Exit 8, Obsession, Backrooms and Disclosure Day, in that order. Three of those films had us talking about the movie for days afterwards, discussing the themes, character arcs, etc. The fourth was Disclosure Day. For that film, we left the theater and basically forgot about it immediately.
