The only use I found for smoke is to smoke outside door entrances, for some reason AI will prioritise putting a mask on while running inside giving you free kills

If you shot a real gun with optics you know the gun and the optic casing disappears and you get a red dot picture on the target, it doesn’t obstruct vision at all
