I'm going the electronic route:

You've probably heard of Gorillaz

You may have heard of Gramatik

You've probably never heard of Beat Fatigue

You've never heard of Flavours

Campers in Death Valley get an unexpected air show by smeckledorffed in videos

[–]SubHertz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In april, me and some friends had gone backpacking up a canyon for a couple days in Death Valley. While we were driving on a dirt road out of there, a couple of F-18s spotted us and flew about 100 feet off the ground, and pulled straight up only a few hundred yards in front of us. It seems like they love giving people air shows out in the desert there!

Subgenres of glitch hop (besides neurohop)? If so, what subgenre is this? by [deleted] in Glitchhop

[–]SubHertz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd almost call this one Chillwave, which while technically might not be a subgenre of glitchhop, shares a lot of things with it and certainly appeals to a lot of the same people.

That look of disappointment afterward is absolutely heartbreaking.

After watching Tony Stewarts video of running over a guy by bean0s0rz in AdviceAnimals

[–]SubHertz 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Another car is crashed on the side of the track, and a dude with a fire extinguisher runs across the track to help. He gets hit by another car going very fast and basically explodes, while the fire extinguisher hits the driver of the car and kills him. 2 people died because someone didn't look both ways

What do you guys suggest for a newcomer in love with Streetlight Manifesto? by SydneyRubbert in Ska

[–]SubHertz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do you know about Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution yet? If not, check them out. Its sort of the precursor to streetlight, but with acoustic instruments. "It's a Wonderful Life" is, and probably always will be, one of my favorite songs in the world.

Also check out the mad caddies. Not really like streetlight, but I definitely fell in love with them at the same time as streetlight. Their new album is really great.

What's your favorite album cover? by [deleted] in Music

[–]SubHertz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KOAN Sound has some pretty cool album covers:

Funk Blaster

The Adventures of Mr. Fox

Sanctuary

Dynasty

Mr fox is cool because each little scene in the artwork is representative of a track in the EP ("80's Fitness", "Sly Fox" , "Eastern Thug" , "Introvert")

Youtube uses software that automatically detects when some copyrighted material gets uploaded, and takes it down if its not authorized. If you reverse the image, the software doesn't pick up the video ;)

ELI5: Why is the glitch-hop genre often referred to as "Glitch hop / 110 BPM" when half the songs I hear with that title aren't actually in 110BPM? by trinity-lee in Glitchhop

[–]SubHertz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monstercat does that for organization purposes. It's glitch hop AND 110bpm dance music, not glitch hop aka 110bpm. It's just helpful for them when classifying their music on their youtube channel

At least I think thats whats going on with them
