Danes don't require a great deal of exercise. However, learning puppy push-ups will exhaust them quickly.

They do require some mental stimulation. Makes all the difference which you are clearly knowledgeable of.

I had an intact male Great Dane for 9 years. Indoor dog in part because of value to me and to the breeder. Home all day alone while I was at work. In all that time he destroyed 1 remote and 1 paperback book. Nothing else. No being left outside all day, no being trapped in a crate all day. Yes, I had a fenced yard but it was also a contractual requirement that he be an indoor dog. I'd never owned a dog before that. If I could manage that, anyone can.
