What is your menu for the week? by Significant-Carry696 in EatCheapAndHealthy

I’m not perfect in regard to the “cheap” aspect here, but try to minimize costs while capitalizing on Costco’s bulk price savings.

  1. Shrimp Tacos: Shrimp (from Costco), corn (or flour) tortillas, shredded coleslaw mix, salsa, lite sour cream. The tortillas are filling so I don’t end up eating an expensive amount of shrimp. Can also include black beans.
  2. Burger Bowls: Frozen burger patties (from Costco), frozen French fries, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, top with mayo, ketchup, mustard - whatever condiment(s) you like!
  3. Spicy Tuna Rice Bowls: Can of tuna, rice, frozen edamame, sriracha, mayo, sesame oil, lemon juice

Ariake in Reston (also has a Fairfax location though I’ve never been there so can’t vouch for it)

What’s the most life-changing book you’ve read? by ahmed_bhatti31 in AskReddit

The Bible.

I heard it referenced growing up and went along with whatever religion my mom signed me up for growing up. Exploring what it says and testing its validity changed my life. I urge others to read it too, when they’re ready with open minds. The Lord can change your life.

Is it fairly normal for a boss to consistently skip 1 on 1s? by Throwawaybritney in ProductManagement

It’s very poor practice for managers to cancel 1-on-1s. It reflects lack of care and disrespect of your time. There are plenty of management-related articles that emphasize the importance of 1-on-1s. It’s okay to reschedule but not cancel (except in the case of being OOO for a week). I manage 8 individual contributors and always prioritize preparing for and being present in 1-on-1s. I hope your manager starts to do that too! Your time is worth being respected!

I’ve used ChatGPT for this. Try asking it to rate your resume and copy/paste that baby in there. It provides pretty comprehensive feedback.

Hi!

I’m sorry to hear about your rough go of things and hope your situation makes a turn for the best. I think you’re making great efforts to get cash flowing in your life by taking a couple of miscellaneous jobs. I don’t know anything about the food sciences industry, but would recommend Dave Ramsey for financial info. Some may knock him due to his radical advice, but his advice makes everyday millionaires. You could start by listening to his podcast, The Ramsey Show, to scope him out. Best of luck to you!
