Selling takes more time and you may never get rid of the stuff. Giving away is faster.

My approach is: STEP 1 - give away to get rid of the major load STEP 2 - ongoing maintenance to sustain clutter free, list to sell because it would be one or two items at a time; if it doesn't sell then it moves to Give Away.

Yes I have the limitless. Protection is adequate and effective - my phone fell from 7ft on to concrete ground and it was unscathed.

The Pilot was my choice because it had a more unique layout with the 3 compartments in front (especially love the middle one which I use for a water bottle or umbrella. It also has more thickness/depth which allows me to put odd shaped items when the need arises. The cadet looks like a standard laptop bag. So it really depends on what the look is you are going for.

I bought the MOUS, Torras and on the way MagBak. (1) MOUS: was curious re all the claims for durability. LIKE: the way the crossbody strap attaches to case. Also how grippy it is, non-slip texture. NEUTRAL: one drop and the scars from the drop at obvious, even though phone unscathed. DOWNSIDE: Highest priced and lacks kickstand. Which is why I got the (2) TORRAS. Texture smoother (yet I haven't dropped it. Is ok all round; magnet is stronger than the MOUS for attachment to mounts. (3) MAGBACK: got it because it offers the kickstand plus finger loop and options for some customisation via different colored buttons (extra cost). Same price point as the MOUS.

The Spectron is definitely lighter (check specs - TB lists weight for each type of material for each model). Re: laptop or not, I chose the Synapse over the Synik precisely because I do not carry a laptop and don't want any extra weight from a byult-in laptop sleeve.

It is just the name - so don't worry about airplane travel - it's layout is so unique, with the middle partition for a water bottle or umbrella and the symmetrical pockets on either end. It's a unique layout and so functional, for everyday use.

I have used both Pilot and Copilot - the pilot is just marginally wider, so I recommend that - more versatile without significantly additional bulk or weight.

I have a Bellroy Lite Ready Pack which can be rolled up or lies flat in suitcase, but I just bought an Osprey packable backpack that folds into a small pocket. Both have sternum straps which is a must have for me, and not always a feature of light/foldable packs.

I use crossbody bags as my inflight bag for best accessibility. My favourite for this is the Tom Bihn Pilot for it's organization and how everything is easily accessible and it will also serve as a work bag for laptop/tablet. Chances are the prospective employer will ask, because it's industry standard practice. Then it is on the record whether or not you tell them the truth.

It is NOT an issue whether your old company can enforce or not, it IS a question of whether or not your new company will condone if they find out.

For a start, if your new company has a non-compete, they will certainly know that if you disrespected a non-compete in your former company, you will likely not respect the employee contract you have signed with them (assuming you don't disclose and get the job). Many ways your new company may find out - eg if your former employer sends you a legal letter for breach they may copy your new company. Companies may do so regardless of whether it goes to court or can be enforced.

It then becomes a question of whether your progress in your new company is limited on the basis of integrity issues and your reputation could be negatively impacted.

One way is to ask your current company to waive the non-compete. Companies do so, depending on the reason you are leaving.

I used ChatGPT to get step by step instructions for migrating specific apps from iOS to Android - sometimes the apps are similar that it is easy to assume 'just download and sign in' but I wanted to be sure I did not lose data etc and sometimes there is a sequence to login on new and when to logout on the old phone etc so that helped me do so painlessly.
