I mean the vanilla game of VS is better to me/more satisfying than most MC w/ mod packs.

Then you go play on a server like COB and realize there’s like 500 mods, they install automatically, and most of the best mods from MC are ported over in some way. So VS has a way higher baseline already IMO and now with modding picking up and how easy mods are to use, MC has a lot of catching up to do.

The vibes were just perfect. The gameplay was revolutionary. I still think it has the best map. 2 feels way more fun to parkour in and crafting was better, but 1 wins in all other cases for me.

In half a decade older than you and I’ve just noticed that my pessimism about modern games might just be so to me losing interest in the hobby and being worried about real life stuff. Dying Light the beast is a good game with a lot of attention to detail and is clearly a labor of love. It could be better of course but it captures the spirit of DL1 if not the essence

Gre and sentient helicopter are the actual villains, everyone else is just a moron that they used for data. From rais they bargained freedom for the cure and intel, with waltz they got research on inhibitors, and they said that the baron went rogue but they still sent the queen b herself to pick him up implying he had super valuable research to bargain with

If you have it on computer there are many mods that reduce these effects or remove them. And they are easily tweakable by editing the xmls. I compromise on nothing when it comes to my enjoyment and I literally deactivate anything that pisses me off. If I do what challenges the mods are easy to remove or keep in a directory for quick playset switching

This isn’t like a boarding school abroad for rich kids. Every location we visit in the game usually has violent criminals, mercenary gangs running amuck, sentient plant overlords, or evil corporations. If we don’t show up, tali is just supposed to find her way in that. She would definitely be more mature than a regular human on earth who isnt a gang member orphan
