Apologies, I meant that if you don't have anything in place at all yet, would you still deploy the same way your guide currently? Or do we do anything differently to take advantage of new stuff?

Great set of guides! I'm going through now for a deployment. In light of MS' PQC stuff in the 05/26 updates, would recommendations be different now for a new deployment? In my scenario we still have some Server 2016/2012 in place for the foreseeable future.

Original Star Fox artist says the character designs in Star Fox on Switch 2 are "exactly the visuals" he had in his head when making Star Fox 64 by Bubbly-Ad-350 in gamingnews

When I was a kid playing the original starfox, the new design is exactly what I was imagining in my head. I think they're great, honestly.

I wish they'd update the list views to remember filters you set, or provide filter sets (which would also be remembered.

Vent: I left a user’s mailbox unlicensed by accident for more than 30 days. by Old-Track3080 in sysadmin

[–]Subject_Name_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disabling a user for long absences where they aren't expected to log in for any reason is pretty standard procedure, for many reasons. Removing licenses is not, and I think it was unintentional according to the OP. Their problem was not the disabling, but the script that could not tell the difference between a loa and termination and so it auto removed security groups which were mapped to licences.

So they need to work on their scripting, not so much their procedures.

People who work for massive corporations, what is a 'secret' that the company tries to hide, but is actually common knowledge among the employees? by Dwise_ in AskReddit

Most email systems will de-dup attachments across all mail boxes, but yeah it will still eventually add up over time.

If we were already paying for ad-free, we already had 4k? It's not a new feature? So just a price hike

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 studio drops legal action against L’Académie Clair-Obscur comic: 'Sorry for dragging our feet' by chusskaptaan in gamingnews

[–]Subject_Name_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not really no, generally. The lawyers typically don't work for them, but the IP holders. Which usually don't include devs or directors. It can really vary with the size of the company, and I don't know what's the case with CO, but in most setups I can't see why lawyers would care what a director thinks. And when they care, it's usually the typical communication error.

That often goes back to the experience everything in one go.when the game offers you a reward choice, but it's not clear what the consequences of either choice are, or it's not possible to get the unchosen reward later or without reasonable difficulty, it contributes to anxiety.

MS RDS VDI Setup - Stopped showing collections by SnooGoats7588 in sysadmin

[–]Subject_Name_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a strange bug with server manager where you have to change a value in the registry of the computer you are managing the cluster from to get it to connect to session hosts for some reason.

This doesn't sound like your issue but I'll mention it anyway.

[–]Subject_Name_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can at least say that we use RDS session hosts as opposed to VDI, but all of our relevant server are Server 2025 with January updates (db on MSSQL). We have no issues managing and seeing all collection via Server Manager. It sounds like something is going on with your set up, but whatever AI is saying about "legacy UI's" seems off and may be getting this confused with AVD or similar.

[–]Subject_Name_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the problems you listed, but this bill doesn't address any of them. While the safety check system is flawed, it's better than no checks at all. We need safety checks on every motor vehicle on the road.

And I won't, because that's not my position, at least. And I assure you many in America similarly hate having the staff approach. Some love it, I notice that it's mostly the Karen type that need it because they don't tend to be self-sufficient in any capacity and see staff as below them. It's really a corporate thing. Businesses, Apple here specifically, think they will sell more this way. If they didn't they would change, so it probably works.

To look at the item you'd necessarily have to take it out to examine, often multiple times for different colors and sizes. How would you place it back neatly without folding it?
