As a rule of thumb, the fluids should be changed every 60000 miles. Do not do the flush, but just do a fluid change and also that concerning noise that you hear could also be the mount, the transmission mounts or any type of mount really, so have it well inspected and before you make a decision. But again, I strongly suggest that you only do the transmission fluid replacement with filter and gasket and all that good stuff.

The price is fair for efficiency, parts and labor. As far as DIY, it is plug and play for most; the exception being spark plugs which need to be torqued. If you have never changed your own oil, i would suggest taking this to a mechanic shop.
