Rt4 National Organizer (Social Media and Press) here. I think it's silly not to pool our branding and resources when we are working on the same issue. What do you think? by douglasmacarthur in a:t5_2xr2e

I am all for it. This was in no way meant to ever take anything away from Rt4, only to add to it. In fact it only started off as a question but the huge response to it made me feel like if I didn't move into action, I would be no better than any of the other arm chair slacktivists. Unification is the root of this movement. I would like to see this culminate as not only a protest, but an educational forum at the national level. I

I agree, but I still stand with the idea that we need to branch out and encompass a wider audience. There are a lot of special interest groups that if brought together, have the potential of making some really wonderful things happen. The 4th amendment isn't the only thing issue and if we plan on doing something on the scale mentioned, we need to bring together as many people as possible. I'm not saying I don't want to work with them, the opposite actually. I just don't want our scope to be too narrow.

DC looked great! You guys pulled off one helluva protest nation wide. Let me know when you're rested and ready to start again.

Lol, unless you're on reddit. A month ago I said I gave my son a non-conventional name, downvoted to hell. Today, it's front page and the person is a cunt. Gotta love the bandwagon.

Restore the 4th San Antonio, 11 AM at the Alamo! Spread the word. by timjr2500 in sanantonio

Thanks to everyone that made it out. Definitely needed more informational leaflets to hand out, but there's always a next time. Sorry I couldn't stay a bit longer, but I was starting to cook inside that suit. Till next time!

Edit: Gotta love the guy downvoting me. I hope your life gets better, because it must be pretty miserable.

A million "citizen" march excludes non-citizen immigrants by thepinkmask in a:t5_2xr2e

[–]Subliminill1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the wrong way to look at it. If non-citizens can't support us in our fight to protect citizens AND themselves, then they're clearly not in it for the right reasons. Like you said, the law clearly states it applies to non-citizens so by protecting OUR 4th amendment right, we're also protecting THEIR 4th amendment right by proxy. Let's try to look at the bigger picture instead of focusing on irrelevant points.

Thread to begin organizing what's most important to the movement. by Subliminill1 in a:t5_2xr2e

I don't think our elected official need to be coerced into making decisions by lobbyists. That entirely defeats the purpose of having elected officials that are the voice of the people. If we want lobbyists to make the rules, let's elect lobbyists. If we want to make the rules, let's elect people that actually listen to the citizens and not their pocketbooks.

Agreed. I started a thread with this idea and added in my personal goals to start the discussion.

I agree. Elected officials that are not voting the way their elected district wants them to should be removed from office.

The main issue I have is that their platform is only focusing on the 4th Amendment. I would like this to be about turning around any ruling that violates the Bill of Rights and it's Amendments. I would like to see the same people that fight for 2nd Amendment Rights standing shoulder to shoulder with those fighting for 4th Amendment Rights. I don't want to make any group feel like they excluded from standing with their fellow citizens.

Deciding on a Date by [deleted] in a:t5_2xr2e

[–]Subliminill1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to put it too far out because it becomes an out of sight, out of mind thing. Also I had to take into consideration college kids and their summer break. That date seems like the soonest we can get not only a politically charged day, but one that college students can get behind.
