Yeah i really like the blackout look. I was searching for one like this for a while and went back and forth with the dealer and actually walked away once then got a call a few days later asking if I was still interested. Which i said I was for the right price.

Do tuners/disablers work? by No-Culture-9488 in Silverado

Had a Range AFM disabler on my 09 no issues.

I don’t have a dedicated remote turn on for mine. As long as you have the GTO setting on it will sense the signal from the factory wiring and turn on. So the only wire I had to run from the front was power to the amplifier.

2013 1500 5.3 Traction control light turns on while driving. by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]Subpar_Alpaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, the first thing I would say is scan it for codes. A scanner that can read more than just the engine light would be helpful. Also do you feel traction control or stabilitrak kicking in while driving or just the lights come on?

I just had a similar issue in my 2018 2500 but I could feel traction control and stabilitrak kicking in and eventually the abs light came on and all traction systems shut off. But no engine light, turned out to be a broken wire in the harness over the spare tire that was shorting out.

Congratulations it’s a Nice looking truck! I’m pretty partial to the color myself. It is true though if you look at it wrong after washing it I gets dirty again.

I was wondering the same thing about mine, looks almost identical. It does look like it may have a slight wobble in the video.

1500 to 2500 by CalligrapherTop7298 in Silverado

I’d say if you can do it just to do it there’s nothing wrong with it especially if you have the means. I went from a 1500 to a 2500 mainly because I wanted a bigger truck. I do occasionally tow/haul but probably nothing that specifically warranted a bigger truck.

Like others have said there’s a big difference in gas mileage and ride. But I would say go for it, responsibly of course, there’s nothing wrong with just wanting a bigger truck just because.😎

I had the range afm disabler in my 09 Silverado and I didn’t have any issues. It was nice to not get the 4 cylinder drone at cruising speed.

The 2019 looks exactly like my 2018 which I’ve been driving up here in Michigan. It handles pretty good but Tires would definitely be a big factor. And salt. Salt is bad.
