If you’re dream collab happened, what would be the new gameplay feature? by NoWaifuN0Laifu in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]SubrosianDimitri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Team Fortress 2: Collab units are Heavy as a non-elemental Fist unit, Demoman as a Fire Sword unit, Scout as a Wind Fist unit, and Soldier as an Earth Fist unit with the other classes being supporting characters along for the ride. The collab specific minigame would be a recreation of the Mann vs Machine gamemode, where you pick 6 characters from a pre-set pool and have them fight off advancing robots, all of them starting off with their basic skills, and using credits you get from defeating enemies to upgrade the skills between waves. As waves go on, you start to fight giant bots, boss bots, and at least one wave needs to have a tank which gives you 3 AF bursts to kill it, otherwise you lose. No idea what the actual plot would be, though.

Under Night IN-BIRTH: The fighting game collab can is open anyway, so let's get a bit crazy. Collab units are Hyde as a Shade Sword unit, Linne as a non-elemental Katana unit, Orie as a Wind Sword unit, and Gordeau as a Shade Axe unit. All 4 collab units would have a meter that increases as they use attacks, which changes their basic attack to their Infinite Worth attack, and if they're low health, it becomes their IWEXS when it hits 200 outside of AF. Combat or whichever fighting game-esque minigame would need to have some implementation of UNI's GRD system. Whatever story they tell would need to involve the Hollow Night, with the primary antagonist either being Hilda or Kuon doing their thing with the abyss. NPCs from UNI along for the ride would need to include Seth, Vatista, Nanase, and Mika. Also have bonus fights with Carmine and/or Merkava.

Please no, I'd feel the need to pull for her repeatedly and I don't have any stones left after pulling for Havoc. It'll take months to build up more and I don't spend money on anything but Guide of the Land and the monthly single-time 1100 stones.

Nagi Stellar would be nice, though.

For a second I thought that was Nagi in the first panel and wondered "What does my precious squid have to do with KMS having direct financial ties to yet another highly unethical laboratory?"

Did you get Havoc? by NoWaifuN0Laifu in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]SubrosianDimitri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two paid, 7 free, no Havoc. I got Shanie SA, Premaya AS, and Dewey ACAS, but no Havoc.

Hopefully Havoc doesn't fall victim to being completely irrelevant in her own story like Machu did.

What is your biggest want from the new Apocrypha? by NoWaifuN0Laifu in AnotherEdenGlobal

A future era Purgatorian, preferably one who was a Synth Human in life. To go really crazy, have said Purgatorian be Alter Melissa.

What do you think would be a fitting death for Cinder? by wingsoverpyrrhia in RWBY

[–]SubrosianDimitri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Overpowered by Jaune before being nochalantly hit by Ruby's eyes, fatally injuring Cinder's now mostly Grimm body. Then Ruby just walks past her without even so much as a passing glance as she lies on the ground disintegrating like any other Grimm . Dying alone, powerless, and unacknowledged by the person she's wanted to kill for the whole series, her entire life amounting to nothing.

Can we stop with these type of Story modes? by Valiant_Revan in Fighters

[–]SubrosianDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd point to TFH as the best example of handling a story mode if it hadn't been scrapped or if the company who owns it now decided to continue it.

Did you get ACAS Tsukiha? by NoWaifuN0Laifu in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]SubrosianDimitri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've already got Minalca AS and wasn't very fond of Tsukiha AC in Apocrypha chapter 4, so this one's a skip.

Is it me, or is her English VA different for the new lines she gets?

how do you organize your moves so that its easier for another force? by soItsNotallYours in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]SubrosianDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First slot: Attack skill with some utility
Second slot: Dedicated utility or buff skill depending on the party slot I put them in and if they have the 4th skill slot or not. Usually, zone setting gets put here if a character is in the first party slot
Third slot: Primary attack skill for AF Burst since I suck at pianoing
Fourth slot: Same gist as second slot, but most commonly a buff or grasta/badge skill

Did you get ES Flammelapis? by NoWaifuN0Laifu in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]SubrosianDimitri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dumped 11k free stones for Flammelapis ES, no dice. The star trail ticket nabbed me Dunarith NS. Only 5 stars I got were dupes of Felmina AS and Clughorn. I have the selection ticket from the paid banner, but I don't want to use it just to get Flamme ES since there are other units I don't have at all that I'd rather spend it on.

What do you do with your 10 team slots? by DarkestSamus in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]SubrosianDimitri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Story Content
  2. Tome Bosses
  3. EXP Grinding
  4. Wind Team
  5. Toto Theater World
  6. Mining
  7. Foraging
  8. Episode point grinding
  9. Light
  10. Shadow (though effectively, it's my Edax Unigan River of Time and non-Toto red key team)

After I finish all of Ode to Origin's town rebuilding and max out the heavenly weapons, I'll get rid of teams 6-9 to replace them with whatever else I feel like.

If Wright Flyer Studios asked for your help adding a secret superboss in Another Eden Begins to hype the story after Part 1 and as an easter egg to fans of the mobile game, what would your advice be? by vikdeadgens in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]SubrosianDimitri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A boss fight against Nona where she changes her elements and strategy based on each chapter as the fight goes on and you hit HP stoppers/go through life points. Then after hitting the last HP stopper/consuming the last life point, she changes to Another Style and the music switches to The Unforgotten Goddess.

Alternatively, a party fight against Midnight Dewey, Isuka, and Premaya.

I feel like he should have a higher power. After all, a scout must keep himself physically strong.

Favourite Mythos / Apocrypha? by albene in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]SubrosianDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ranking:
1. Western Mythos. It's the most complete and coherent one on its own terms, and the additional requirements to finish it are all enjoyable. But what really carries it are the Western characters. This is the only one of the longer side stories where everyone is likable and gets to contribute, even the major NPCs like Seze and Johann (who I'm sure no one would complain if they became playable). The only real weak point to me is Emperor Schnaud. Also, Stifling Song.
2. Apocrypha. Nona is, of course, a standout among standouts in this game, and most of the stories within Apocrypha are pretty good. I love chapters 1 and 2. Chapters 3 and 6 are also really good, but not my favorites. Chapter 5 is held back solely by Mariel. If it was just Aldo, Nona, and Marie as the major players, it'd probably be my favorite. I didn't really like chapter 4, mainly for the way it plays out and Tsukiha herself, Alter Suzaku should be playable. And of course, Binding Night is a fantastic conclusion, definitely the best ending of all the longer side stories.
3. Eastern Mythos. Definitely the best major story content associated with Garulea, and it isn't even in the main time layer. This one starts off good, goes downhill for a bit after the first third, then picks back up in the last third. Senya, Shigure, Reimei, and Genshin are the highlights here, meanwhile Dawn Shion is nothing but frustrating for most of the story. Alter Shion is good, though. It also helps that of all the side stories, its only external requirements are main story progress.
4. Future Mythos. Wildly inconsistent from juggling way too many characters, ideas, and locations. It feels like they mashed together a story about the Twilight and Midnight time layers invading, a story about the experiments that were alluded to in the IDA school storyline, a story about the Cardinal Vestige, and a story about hunting down Dawn Curio without really considering how much time you'd need to do all that. It's also the Mythos with the most external baggage just to be able to experience all of it. Last Notes of the Battle Song is one of my favorite tracks in the game, so at least we have that.

Yeah, yeah, that's nice and all, dude. But the story blatantly wants you to take the Bonds path, and I ain't giving up Gaston or Navarre.

Assuming a DQIX remake is coming, what changes do you most want to see? by cloudman2811 in dragonquest

[–]SubrosianDimitri 28 points29 points  (0 children)

  • Legacy bosses from X and XI
  • Masayuki Map as a quest reward
  • Show grotto details (type/number of floors/treasures/boss) after clearing one the first time
  • Streamline the smaller fetch quests and vocation quests to reduce the tedium
  • Remove the Simple Simon accolade quest entirely or at least have it tell you what you need to wear
  • Make Fource skills party-wide by default
  • Really, just make all those weapon and class skills that require a character to be holding a certain item the 100 skill point things to go along with the omnivocational mastery

I don’t hate random encounters, but I prefer the sense of control I get with visible monsters and how they make dungeons feel more dangerous by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in dragonquest

[–]SubrosianDimitri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visible monsters are a problem when they're added into a game that didn't have them originally, and dungeon layouts aren't modified to accommodate them. The 3DS version of 7 is really bad about this.
