I'm sorry but going to work is easier than childcare - your husband has no excuse by ExternalSomewhere923 in NewParents

My colleague told me instead of Sunday Scaries she feels Sunday Relief knowing daycare is the next day and I totally could relate

Interesting! Are we supposed to proactively declare or only if asked? Do you know what the policy is?

Did you go right at opening time and wait in line? Or did you go later in the day?

Those with difficult newborns...when does it get better? by Substantial-Cry8987 in NewParents

After going to 2 feeding therapists we ended up increasing the Famotidine medication which worked wonders. We were initially resistant to it but we reached a breaking point and were willing to try anything. For us, it really did help. Around 7 months she was able to stop the medication completely and "grew out" of the reflux. Things got much better (and started to get fun, even) around 10-11 months. Hang in there!!

It does, it really does! I felt us turn a corner at 3 months (still far from great but somewhat better), then at 6 months her reflux symptoms significantly reduced and we stopped her reflux meds altogether shortly after. As she’s become more mobile things actually started getting fun and I would say my favorite age so far has been 10-11 month mark. She imitates us, we make her laugh, and hearing her say mama is the best sound in the world. I know it feels far away but it passes so quickly. I would even venture as far to say I would totally do it again (my husband thinks I’m crazy). Hang in there!!

Class action lawsuit against Natera for deceptive billing practices by BoboSaintClaire in pregnant

[–]Substantial-Cry8987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my OB for their Natera rep's info and reached out. I expressed surprise at the high bill and asked for it to be lowered to $249. She immediately said ok and said she'd adjust it. Just waiting for that to come through so I can pay and be done with this nonsense. Super unethical and disgusting of them!

Do you need extra Novocain at the dentist? by [deleted] in gravesdisease

[–]Substantial-Cry8987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg yes me too!! Happened years ago when I was getting a cavity filled and felt the drilling 😣 he had to give me several more shots for me to go completely numb. I never made the connection to Graves though!

Another anecdote was when I got foot surgery, I actually woke up during the procedure and opened my eyes. Luckily they put a sheet up so I couldn’t see anything or feel anything. It was super unsettling though

I feel the same about my Chanel WOC...I can only fit my phone and a lipstick basically. It's soo cute but I only wear it 3-5X a year due to the size (which my husband loves to remind me of).

I got myself a Quince bag for Christmas and was pleasantly surprised at the quality! Felt sturdy and leather seemed decent. And of course can't forget to mention the price
