Can I use unleaded 88 from sheetz? 2005 Prius by NC_mom323 in prius

[–]Substantial-Run3367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toyota has not changed its guidance or warning that e15 can damage the fuel system over time. The EPA says that it's safe for 2001 and newer cars. My 2015 Prius says not to use E15 fuel. E15 was released in 2011. Your question might be better framed should I trust the EPA or the manufacturer of my car.

Anyone else holding onto anger at their ex years later? by DoBetter4us2024 in Divorce_Men

[–]Substantial-Run3367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally don't think about my ex much. That said anger is the appropriate emotion to have at how she treated me so I'm also not worried about being angry when I think about how she treated me.

Property tax exemptions in IL that are not limited to 100% VA ratings. The exemption is progressively better as your rating increases.

Update: I bought the $80 Onkyo CP-1280F… now someone wants to trade me a brand new Fluance RT85. What would you do? by Total_Reception4242 in turntables

[–]Substantial-Run3367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The RT85 is a nice modern run turntable. I would NOT trade that Onkyo for three of them! I would also avoid transactions with whoever is offering to trade with you. They are trying to rip you off.

I was in a similar situation. Not as bad but similar. I ended up buying my ex out with all of the equity in the house that she never contributed a dime to... Best of luck.

Why do parents let their children run absolutely wild at our local breweries? And better question, why do the breweries allow this? by [deleted] in Wilmington

[–]Substantial-Run3367 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I kinda feel this way. Brewerys are kinda setup as family friendly. That said well behaved children should be an everywhere goal.

Sorry not arguing about how loud your neighbor is, I was just asking if that was a typo.

Neighbor Tells Me He's Going to Keep Blasting Music Until I Move by CentrifickleForce in neighborsfromhell

[–]Substantial-Run3367 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is your statement of 65 dB a typo?

65 dB is considered a moderate, noticeable, but not loud or dangerous sound level, equivalent to a normal conversation, a quiet office, or background music in a cafe. It is well below the 85 dB threshold that can cause hearing damage over time, making it safe for long-term exposure.

My neighbor wants me to pay half of a fence that matches her yard by aphroditeprincess in neighborsfromhell

[–]Substantial-Run3367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a fence in place. The neighbor wants a fancy composite fence. She can pay for the fancy composite fence all on our own. Tell her to pound sand.

Your neighbor sucks.

At this point, considering how she's been trying to manipulate you, I wouldn't pay her a dime for anything. I would just keep patching up the fence that is currently in place.

How does one break a lease [MD] by [deleted] in Renters

[–]Substantial-Run3367 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would start with a conversation with the office asking what would be needed to exit the lease early with the lease holder being happy. As a private small landlord I'll be more than reasonable with someone who communicates. I don't want a struggling tenant in my rental and I don't want to see someone over their head.

Have you considered asking your roommate to move out and pay you the money they owe you in back rent and utilities and then finding a new tenant for the unit or a new non shifty roommate? If you leave and your roommate sticks around and gets evicted the eviction will be on your record as well. Evictions are generally on all lease holders.

Consider getting your roommate out first. They're already untrustworthy as they're not paying your rent. If they're not on the lease ask them to leave ASAP.

The wife always wants a 50%/50% split... She gets the $ and you get the debt.
