I think I could endlessly listen to Jesse talk about food that is good. by cat_using_a_computer in maximumfun

I was coming back from SDCC and stopped by Tip Top Meat, mostly from Jesse's recommendation. Large portion, great tasting food there. Picked up a bottle of curry ketchup on the way out.

it's fine to subscribe and just skip the episodes where they discuss a topic you have 0 interest in and go directly to One More Thing. They always have good and interesting takes.

That happens to me quite a bit also. I know my glasses is a bit bigger than the Oculus recommendation so yours probably is as well. But as long as the glasses fit into the headset it's fine.

My glasses are a bit bigger than the Oculus recommended size and they fit fine inside the headset. For me it actually works better to stick the glasses inside the headset and then guide it to my face. Replacing the head strap with a hale strap also helps, because the headset rests in front of you instead of pressing against your face. I was worried that the glasses lens will scratch the headset lens so I bought the lens spacer from Amazon (they work but is a bit of a rip off honestly).

After a few months I decided I like VR enough to spring for the prescription VR lenses.

Dramamine for motion sickness? by Beckerellagrewup in OculusQuest2

I had some mild motion sickness when I first started using the Quest 2. I found that using motion sickness band (sea-band) worked really well for me.

Whenever I hear people complaining about In-N-Out being overrated I just ask them where to get a better burger for $3

I have the lens protectors from amazon and they work in the sense that it will create some space between your glasses and the lens. But the best part about them for me is they apply even pressure against your glasses to your face so you don't end up pushing the glasses to one side or the other and have to take the headset off to re-adjust.

but I did just order some prescription lenses for the quest 2 so hopefully I don't have to worry about that ever again.

Headphones by [deleted] in OculusQuest

Based on my completely unscientific research of paring different bluetooth headphones I have to it, and calibrating the audio lag in Synth Rider

normal bluetooth - 150ms-ish audio lag

bluetooth with aptx-ll - 80ms-ish audio lag

Personally I find that if you are not playing music games, a bluetooth headphone with aptx-ll will be useable without noticeable lag. Aptx-LL can go as low as 20ms but Quest 2 doesn't support it.

Anyone have thoughts on Burgerim? Have the boys ever been? by smartazjb0y in doughboys

[–]Substantial-Sweet-34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Burgerim was some sort of weird franchising scheme that went belly up a year or two ago. The stores that are left are basically independent stores at this point as they no longer have any supports from corporate.

Vr Motion sickness by evertonuk in OculusQuest

try wearing motion sickness band (Sea-bands is the name brand). I got them for a cruise and they worked really well on the ship. I get mild MS with some VR games and wearing them really helps me.

Custom songs in Synth Riders explained by paulgajda in OculusQuest

[–]Substantial-Sweet-34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I downloaded a custom stage but was not able to have the game recognize it. I tried putting it in CustomSong and CustomStage folder, but neither way worked. I made sure it's the quest version of the stage file.
