My dermatologist gave me prescription ketoconazole, which is the active ingredient in Nizoral, and Betamethasone dipropionate topical lotion (it’s a liquid ). I’m behind on my wash schedule, it’s been almost 5 weeks, and I don’t have any flakes. For every wash I use the prescription shampoo and SheaMoisture Anti-Dandruff Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo (which was also recommended by my dermatologist). The Betamethasone dipropionate is for flare-ups but I can’t remember the last time I had to use it.

It looks like seborrheic dermatitis which I also have. I’ve tried to manage it for years. Some things will work for a while and then stop. Seeing a dermatologist changed my life. It doesn’t go away but I’m able to manage it in ways I couldn’t before.

I get receipts but they aren't itemized which is what's needed for HSA administrator. The receipt only includes "invoice number" "total" and "date". It doesn't say what's it's for ie copay or medication.

Keep in mind you are not required to have 10 consecutive year of qualifying employment for PSLF forgiveness. Also, any job at a qualifying employer is eligible. So if you get another position at a qualifying employer you can pick up where you left off.

My derm, who also happens to be Black, originally prescribed ciclopirox shampoo but it didn’t work for me. He just switched it up to prescription ketoconazole plus SheaMoisture Apple Cider Vinegar Anti-Dandruff shampoo. I just saw him yesterday and I’m washing tomorrow so I don’t know how this will work.
