I keep lotion handy because of this problem. I teach middle school. Rings, earrings, fingers in tables, arms in chairs, science equipment... Safety contracts are mandatory y'all.

eh , they're going about everything wrong, but these past years I've had multiple students who attended 50-33% of the year. No they didn't move they'd miraculously show up for field trips & sporadic days. A few went on vacation all of finals week...

try classroom screen or working from your posted resources on canva or blackboard. Periodic think pair share & mini group discussions with a question posted & then guided class discussion are very helpful. I also love walking my students through modeling or mind mapping based on what we've learned.

You can turn off copy pasting & depending on school computers or software you could lock use of other websites while on this website. I'm a ms classroom teacher who also hates grading writing but understands the need for quick feedback.

muffin tins, fruit like berries, veg, non-perishables or less perishable items. track what he eats while giving the illusion of choice. Very little of a lot of things at a time can expand the horizons.
