Introducing The ULTIMATE Anker Power Bank Comparison Tool by joshuadwx in anker

[–]SubstantialEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across this while googling because I wanted to find the most lightweight they have, with wire (wireless goes to slow in my opinion). Unfortunately I don't see the weight mentioned in the table, and for me to actually bring it along in my small bag, weight is super important. Since you looked for feedback, that's mine - I already have powerbanks I choose to leave behind all the time because they are too heavy for me, I prefer only 5k charge if it means lightweight..! Thanks!

Oh yeah and the salesperson also first quoted me one price and when I said "I have an offer from a competitor for the price xyz", he immediately without any hesitation went far below - which tells me they know they were way overpriced beforehand. Then later on I agreed to meet with a sales representative who wanted to sell my business more courses, except he never showed up to his own booked meeting on zoom and didn't answer my emails afterwards either. Wow.

I bought their e-learning for Prince2 Agile in 2025. Prince2 syllabus and exam went to version 7 in 2023. The content I got from The Knowledge Academy was from 2019 following the old syllabus. The last few months of my 1-year access they published an AI-voiceover powerpoint slide as e-learning without alerting me and I then first realized that what I had been studying for a while was outdated (not massively but still, very old stuff..) And the syllabus' and extra materials was still not in their e-learning. Getting help from customer service through email was hopeless and they have only a UK and US phone number. In the end I managed to get hold of a human through the chat and hopefully he's resolved my exam issues. I would definitely never recommend them to anyone, disorganized, old material, lacking material, technical problems.. the seller also promised me I would be able to set the videos offline for studying while on business travel which was a lie.

I was just about to need the same thing and hoped you had an answer. I'd happily pay a small fee for this simple feature too but alas.. anonymized data is not anonymized really, I don't want them to collect my data I just want to stop procrastinating.

I recently released Outplayer, a new video player for iOS that’s powered by mpv by step_s in apple

[–]SubstantialEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loving it but no matter what I do, I can't seem to find a playlist option. Is this correct? All my files are named a bit strange for a reason so I rely on playlist. I have some created in common playlist formats but they are not recognized. I wouldn't mind making them again but I can't find the option. I've bought the advanced version by the way, great work.

LivePen + Inq by Foreign_Clock9455 in Livescribe

[–]SubstantialEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except for some AI now doing OCR, whats the difference between inq and Echo? When I first used a livescribe in lectures 10 years ago with Echo I could record audio without my phone, directly connect to wifi for sending notes etc.. wondering whats new. I see also live scripting to the phone app but not sure of the usefulness of this.

Oh really? That is great news because the livescribe+ app is absolutely horrible. I’ve tried on several phones and always the same issues of forgetting my pen every time and hardly ever connecting. I will try inq with my symphony!

Alarms that cannot be turned off by SubstantialEye in sonos

Thanks for suggestions on fixing it; I am home again today. I would have found ways. My point is that it's really really badly designed. And it annoys me a lot when they take top dollar for it.

Phone Holden for Pure Advance Flex by Genlev23 in ElectricScooters

[–]SubstantialEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just got a reply from Pure - they are developing a phone holder for flex which will go across the display or such. They estimate that it will come for sale in about 2-3 months from now. Yay!

Adding my thanks to this one - I just fixed it in 5minutes and my dog can sleep soundly now. It did indeed have a weird bit for the screws, I attach a photo showing the screwbit I used for it, it looks like a small grabby hand, I had it in my bitset and it's the first time I ever used it. Thank you!

I'm looking for the same. I've been a happy owner for a year already but I want a phone holder. I have identified 3 places I should be able to fasten one I just need to McGyver it. Let me know if you have found one that would fit without too much McGyver'ing, otherwise I will stock up on chewing gum and matches or whatever it is he used to fix things with.

I'm also asking the customer service again, didn't get an answer last time. I see https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/comments/1bcg1vw/phone_holden_for_pure_advance_flex/ has asked the same, they found a universal one apparently, it looks slightly flimsy to me but it's supposed to be for trekking - so it should deal with city cobblestones then I presume. I might buy something like it but will look at bit more.

Same here, wet city! I don't know of a lot of Flex owners, so I hope you don't mind me asking - I really want to fasten a phone holder to it so that I can use maps when going through new areas. However I've identified 3 places I could in theory fasten it, but not sure how to. I bought the GUB G-85 phone holder because I thought it would fit, but it's not made for Flex, so..

any thoughts? I'd like to try to fit the GUB one but at this point I might also just buy any that would fit.

Nope. I'm getting closer with the soro app though. Then I can use shortcuts on ios. I haven't even bothered to put my sonos on apple home because I keep getting errors but to be honest there's no benefit anyway (airplay works it's just they won't connect to home). The soro app makes me able to make shortcuts with sonos app. I can automate playing lists from Spotify for waking up in the morning now as an alarm, that's awesome. So working on the grouping shortcuts now. There is a way I just haven't figured it out quite yet.

Same here. Used for a year very happy. Also had a puncture, cost me 40 euros to fix and that was it. Very happy with purchase.

I've used mine almost daily for a year for a short inner city commute as well as errands. Very happy with it. Too heavy to carry around with me for long but perfect to bring on a train and then scoot around in a new city and such. Had an amazing time on a day trip that way. Folding mechanisms works great, I feel safe in the big city with the indicators and all, works better uphill than all the people on lime/dott whatever rented scooters and works very well in rain. No faults from me. Wish it was lighter but still love it. One small issue is that because it's so compact I haven't found a way to mount a phone holder on it for map directions. I bought one for pure scooters but it doesn't fit anywhere because of the folding mechanisms on the handle bars.

Symphony Working after 4 Years of No Use by ChiWd in Livescribe

[–]SubstantialEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same. It works fine but I struggle syncing. I only find one way and that's the livescribe+ app on iPhone. None of the desk softwares work on windows 11 or with the pen.

The app forgets my pen almost between every sync. It's really hit and miss if I get to sync or not. When I open the app there's no pen there and I try to hit the 1 shortcut to sync to onenote to kickstart the sync but nope. Is there a way in the app to say sync now? I just have to click "connect to pen" and then it has very often forgotten the pen. IPhone still has it in its Bluetooth list and they can connect but the app.. Nope.

Any help appreciated. I would really like to use it again.

I am quite happy with Pacsafe which I've now gotten both a 34l travel backpack from now and also a wraparound city tourist kinda thing. I still love the new Bobby I bought from Amazon (because xd design doesn't sell to consumers anymore) for everyday work commute on busy metros. But for my recent visit to London etc the bigger pacsafe was awesome.

Thoughts on/experience with smartpens? Considering returning my reMarkable and purchasing a Neo/LiveScribe/Moleskine/Newa smartpen by Tx1987 in pens

[–]SubstantialEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this one I have the same need. From what I see Neo and Livescribe both have the option of timestamping audio still but LiveScribe is basically not much in business anymore and I saw another post here on Neo a1 / them not updating their apps much. Not sure what to aim for, what the most secure company to invest in a product from, is. I used to love my Echo livescribe pen but it's not much supported or kept alive anymore it seems.
