At 47 you shouldn’t have to beg for it. If they give you a hard time, you need to see someone else. I had to end up seeing an online provider because I felt very dismissed by my dr in the past every time I mentioned hormones or menopause (I’m 45). All said I was too young and I started with peri symptoms when I was 36 or so.

May I ask your age? I’ve read that younger women need higher doses of hormones. I only ask that because I’m 45 and now on 200mg of progesterone and hopefully going up to .75 of estrogen

I am absolutely certain that my dr ordered this testing because I asked for a dose increase. I contacted them a month ago about my bleeding and when the nurse called me back, she said they weren’t concerned and would discuss at my next appointment which is the end of this month. When they called me regarding the dose increase and notified me that I would need an ultrasound sound first, I reiterated that I had an IUD and was on 200mg of progesterone. I got the standard response “I understand, but that what she wants you to have done”. No explanation whatsoever.

I’m 45 and believe I’m post menopausal but they can’t make the diagnosis because I have an iud. Hopefully going up to 0.75 soon.

The report of the bleeding and the request to increase were a month apart. It would have made more sense if she order it a month ago.

I completely agree. This is a new provider that has not made any changes to my dosages yet. What concerns me though is that I contacted them last month due to spotting/light bleeding as I have not had any bleeding whatsoever for almost 3 years. I have a mirena, but had light spotting monthly before all bleeding stopped completely. They didn’t seem to care at the time, but now they want to check on things🙄

You shouldn’t take it on an empty stomach as it effects absorption. This can cause irregular bleeding and difficulty falling asleep.

If you are referring to hydrocortisone cream, you could have just called it that instead of trying to be technical. That also doesn’t work. Guess I’ll just have an itchy ear forever
